Why does everybody (at least it looks like it)know the Single Ladies?  It was only a hit (#1 for 3 weeks and #13 in year end Charts 2012) in Switzerland if I'm right. I know it from chart videos and because I've already seen it in 1 or 2 contests (e.g. FSC, like Yngve said before)  |

It wasn't a hit only in Switzerland, but also in Europe...If it was only in Switzerland, then we wouldn't even know about it  I remember, that I first saw it on these charts on 5th place |

 ,  ,  ,  , even  receives most of these submissions... I'd love to be in this list too, but I'll never be and you know why... we just don't have worldwide popular artists or songs... we don't even have songs that are popular in Europe (except few ESC songs), not even thinking about world... and the other thing is that we are so behind almost all European countries in pop music, that it's not even worth latvian pop here... but rock & opera music you don't like so much, but these are our strongest music styles... also folk and schlager music, but those aren't many on YT, so the choice isn't big anyways... But I hope someday I'll experience the day, that I'll be on top3 (not even worth thinking about victory) in this contest - that is my biggest dream (if we talk about this contest)... for many of you it's like everyday life to be on top10 or higher, but for country like Latvia you already have seen, that it's very hard even to get in the final...  You can also win believe me. PS: The song you've send me the lyrics of would get many points from me. |

thanks for good songs, everyone.. Hmm. time to suggest some songs for some countries less used than others (as I have a few )  (please, keep in mind, it's my personal taste.. you don't need to like the songs or even send them, it's only suggestion, that would probably get points of me if sent. And, also you may know some from another contest!) Thank's for submissions... First 2 songs I've used myself in Worldvision Song Contest - one got pretty good result (as good as it can be for  ) and the other didn't qualified for the final  The 3rd song was used by one of the hungarian users (Kazucci or something like that). Don't know, what result this song got, but I haven't heard that it did very well... |

I even wonder how could "Es gribu vēl mīlēt" won few contests some months ago... That's one exception... And my first and only victory with latvian song was in IMF #1 when there weren't many songs, especially strong one's... I think it was just a lucky "shot"... P.S. Maybe I'll send it someday... |
