But what about the "secret country" that gets free at #9? Jasmin is the first at the list, and the second may get Macedonia. The secret country is not secret, it is the Faroe Islands. And I am getting the Faroe Islands, so only Faroese artists will be sent. Liechtenstein gets free and Jasmin does only want Balkan countries smh.  |

 Faroe Islands is really unrealistic.  Even  Australia would me more realistic to join in ESC tbh. And I guess, Faroe Islands was only accepted, because you wanted to get it obviously, because normally the new country would go to a player on the waiting list.  |

And I guess, Faroe Islands was only accepted, because you wanted to get it obviously, because normally the new country would go to a player on the waiting list. I thought you don't care about realism that much?  I wanted the Faroe Islands since like 5 editions... And I am going to take it because the waiting list users would send Danish artists. The Faroe Islands has a much bigger music industry than San Marino for example. Sending Faroese artists makes way more sense than Germans for Liechtenstein don't you think?  EDIT: Or Dutch people for Luxembourg ... |

Faroe Islands even have the "Foroyar Music Awards" and tons of singers (Jogvan Hansen who won X Factor Iceland and who tried for ESC to represent Iceland for example, is from the Faroe Islands ) Believe me or not, when I search for Icelandic music there's always someone from the Faroe Islands coming up, either a rock band, either a pop singer, either a soul singer, either Eivör The debut of those little isles was discussed by the NBU even earlier than the one of Algeria and Tunisia (which were more obvious countries) was. Nothing stops Daniel to get them, as NVSC 8 will be the third time for him with Liechtenstein.  |

It just doesnt make sense in general, because Faroe Islands are not independent and a part of  Denmark. I said that  Luxembourg should borrow only from  Belgium and  Liechtenstein should borrow from  Switzerland. |

EDIT: And the problem that the new user will complain he can't
borrow from the bigger neighbour although other small nations can...
And we really discussed this in the council for more than 2 editions
(NVSC 5 to 6 I think) and then voted... We had more yes' than no's.
