I want to say in advance that in the content of this post are the subjective opinions and observations.
Hello! In this thread I want to tell you about all phases of the 3rd edition of the International Tournament of Music.
At the beginning, I would like to mention that the #Craiova2016 was the longest edition of the tournament in history. It was caused by a lack of desire and computer to malfunction. For this reason, in the knockout stage we saw a new graphic design of the tournament caused the removal of the previous one.
You have sent 12 amazing entries to the Craiova. All of them should get the the title of champion, but according to the rules, only one country could win. This country was Australia.
For the first time in the International Tournament of Music organized the national selections for the contest. 2 countries have opted for this form of the entry selection to the competition - Israel and Poland. Is the introduction of the selection proved to be a success? I'm not able to tell after one edition, in which can be organized selections. I can only say the final results of the songs selected under selection: Israel didn't qualify for the knockout stage and Poland took 4th place.
The most exciting phase were the quarter-finals. 8 songs competed for the next round. For the first time in history was unexpected overtime. In match no. 3, Norway drew 3:3 against Iceland. After adding 30 minutes of additional game, Iceland proved to be better. After the match, HoD of Norway announced herretirement from the tournament. She wrote: I come back after one edition and get eliminated so quickly. You haven't been eliminated so quickly. Norway played 5 matches in the group stage - 2 matches won and 1 drew. It's still better than the result of Poland in the group stage (2 matches won, 3 lost).
Now I tell you about betting odds. I didn't replenish the thread about this, because I didn't have the data (it removed during crash). But I remember, that Macedonia was the favorite of participants! Who will win the tournament in Australia? We'll find out soon.
That's as much as I wanted to tell you. If you have any questions, please write in the replies.
