Ornacia's CritiquesFirst of all I'd like to announce that the judges were hugely divided this week, meaning that the final ranking is a mess different from the actual ranking of almost every judge. Azealia Bongos, you snatched my wig tonight and I'm sad you are not standing in front of me to receive critiques but oh well, hope you continue like this! I did love this week though, most of you did great jobs, thank you for that!Cake Fart$ | agni Uhh I mean the song is good and I love me some Faroese so good job on that. Personally however, I did feel like Faroese was a bit more obvious than some other choices, considering here on the forums we have an above average exposure to the language. Nevertheless, the song was a good choice and I can't blame you for sending a beautiful language. D'angela | Wysteria Your choice of language was fabulous in my view, Manx is arguably the most original choice of the week so probs for that! However, I didn't like your song too much, it was really boring and just didn't excite me at all. This week we had way too many female celtic ballads if you ask me so your song did not stand out at all, sadly. Delilah Grace | Alper Another great choice from you Delilah, this stood out for being in a unique language that wasn't similar to any other we have heard this week and the jaw harping just made it extremely unique. Not sure whether the song as a whole was necessarily very strong but its originality and uniqueness saved you! Frieda Liêverie | Callum Honestly, I expected you to slay this week and you didn't let me down! Cornish is a wonderful choice and the song itself is great too. It took some time for it to grow on me but eventually I couldn't help but bop to it, it's both catchy and original which made it a great choice for this challenge. Lady D'Apple | Luiri Breton is another language I love but sadly your song isn't at all. Sure it was cute and it certainly wasn't bad but... it was pretty cheesy and seemed to never end. I didn't really find anything exciting or interesting about the song, except the language but you aren't the only one who sent a great language today and the song just didn't convince me, sorry. Miss Piggy | Bas Well. I have to tell you, your song was an absolute mess that I'm still not over yet. Weirdly enough, I personally enjoyed that mess though. You did take a risk and objectively your song isn't good at all but I can't stop myself from kind of liking it. It was something different from the troop of slower, folkish, ballad-y songs we heard this week, which is why I enjoyed it. Obviously, this song is chaotic but I didn't mind that much personally.

Nene's critiques
Ladies, little did y'all know that I love the idea of languages that are rarely sung in, so I have to say that some of you SNAPPEDT!
Cake Fart$ | agni
Ah yes BYRTA! It's been a while since they have released anything. I must say though, I'm not surprised that you went for the Faroese language, however I'm not mad at that! You served me a timeless bop by one of the Faroe Island's leading music groups. Although the song is old, it's still gold, and you managed to snatch my cooked ramen wig this week. Well done hunty!
D'angela | Wysteria
That was an amazing attempt my dear, but due to this week being particularly hard for me, I can't say it's the best attempt this week. Your song is beautiful, and that's all I have to say about the song. But what I was most intrigued about was the use of the Manx language which is as rare as the amount of times my former Real Housewives of Atlanta wig Kim Zolciak was actually relevant - yes I'm shading you bitch! Close your legs to married men hooker!... But anyway back to you - while your attempt wasn't the best this week, it was a great one and especially your language choice. Well done!
Delilah Grace | Alper
Another week, another wig snatched. I've no words for the use of this language, it's just so unique. In fact, I never even heard a song in the language before. It's something different that indeed stood out this week and I really have to congratulate you on your search. Did I expect anything else from you? Not really wig, given your past 2 attempts I am thirsty for more!
Frieda Liêverie | Callum
Alright hunty, do you have a special formula on how you can snatch all the time? It's the 3rd week in and I already see a very bright future for you - is it the ramen wigs that you won last week? Or overall edginess? I'm very intrigued and delighted with your choice to send a song in the Cornish language - it's indeed not a language you hear a lot of nowadays, and the song itself is just lovely. Gwenno is an icon too for her songs in Cornish. I've nothing left to say, I'm speechless at how you did that.
Lady D'Apple | Luiri
Although this version is not quite my favourite, I still adore the song you chose. Whenever I listen to Bro Gozh ma Zadoù, I instantly think of the meaning behind it and the passion the singers have for their region, Brittany. You should know that I adore the Breton language just as much, and although all the singers involved on the song aren't my favourites (except Gwennyn, Alan Stivell and Tri Yann) I'm still digging this choice hunty.
Miss Piggy | Bas
To start off hun, your language choice was interesting and I'm glad that you went for something like it, as it's mainly only spoken in one region of the world, and I give you the most credit for that - it's not easy to find songs in the language and especially considering the countries it is spoken in! However, when I actually take the song into consideration, it's just not what I was looking for. I must say I was surprised when I learned that the song had dubstep in it, which is a nice touch, but overall I can't say that I'm intrigued by the song. But like I said, your language choice was your best trait this week.

Malala's Critiques Ladies, I have to admit; this was a pretty messed up week. And the results aren't looking any better. Also, before I move on the critiques, I have to give a shoutout to Lyra Winter; girl you managed to come back from two weeks in a bottom with such an amazing choice, I loved it. Condragulations! D'angela Once again, you served us with a nice song. But, just like in the first challenge, I feel like it has nothing more to offer; it's a cute (boring) ballad with nothing more than can make it really stand out. I have to say though, kudos to you for choosing such a rare and unexpected language! But I'm sure you can step it up and bring something better. | Lady D'apple Your song was cute, but similarly to Miss D'angela, it didn't really make me feel anything more than that. Breton is indeed a beautiful language as well, but I think that the song itself didn't have anything "wow" to it, rather than it being a nice song. | Frieda Livêrie Why am I not surprised? My dear Frieda, you manage amaze me week after week. Such a brilliant song, and a beautiful language too. I think the other queens need to watch out for you because you are just straight up a contender for the crown. Keep up the good work! | Cake Fart$ Cake Fart$, you gave as a great song but I have to say I wasn't overly surprised by it. Faroese might be a rare language, but compared to the other languages sent this week, it isn't that much of a wise choice. But the song is brilliant and I can't hide the fact that I really love it. | Delilah Grace What can I say about this? You took a risk with this language, and it definitely paid off! The song you sent definitely stood out amongst the other songs, both language and song-wise; it was unique, different but still amazing in its own way. Delilah, you are back on track my dear! | Miss Piggy Similarly to Miss Grace, you took a risk this week with the song you sent. But unfortunately, for me it didn't really work out. It was kind of a mess and I'm not overly keen of the song. It is indeed a very rare language and I love that you served us something different as well, but it doesn't change the fact that the song was more of a miss rather than a hit. |
