[#2] THREE NEW NAMES ARISE
Not long time ago, we got the first name to be rumoured in the 2020th Melodifestivalen. Today, three new names have been named by Aftonbladets Tobbe Ek, namely Victor Crone, Hanna Ferm, and Jakob Karlberg.
Victor Crone should be no stranger to any of you, as he represented Estonia in the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest with "Storm". He also participated in Melfest 2015 with "Det rår vi inte för", alongside Behrang Miri, unfortunately getting knocked out in the Second Chance. "Considering how big "Storm" became in Sweden, as well as the 10 points from the Televoting from the Swedish public at Eurovision, it seemed like the perfect time for him to make a return to Melodifestivalen", sources stated. His competing song was also described as "Avicii-like, grand, and made to pump up an arena".
Hanna Ferm is also a recognizable face, as she participated in Melfest 2019 with "Hold You", alongside LIAMOO, finishing at a 3rd place. This time, compared to 2019, it definitely seems like she will be competing as a solo act.
Jakob Karlberg is a new face to the Eurovision community, as this would be his first Melfest appearance. Composing mostly Swedish Pop, Karlberg hade a hit back in 2015 with "Fan va bra", peaking at #7, and staying in the charts for 28 weeks. Sources also provide that Karlberg has submitted songs for Melfest in the past, but this time, it seems like his song has fit the juries taste buds.
In other news: it does seem like Carola has declined the offer to participate after all, following her instagram post. However, considering how close she was in discussion to participate, Tobbe Ek still feels like there might be a way for SVT and Christer Björkman to convince her to participate, as there's still a long way until the announcement of the acts. For now, she'll be placed under the "Searching for song / confronted by SVT" list, until further notice.

[#3] FROM BACKING VOCALISTS TO THE MAIN ACT
Only two days surpassed, but we've already got a new name circulating Tobbe Ek and his sources. This time, it's another act from the 2019 Melfest, which were the backing vocalists for John Lundvik, the 2019 winner. That's right, The Mamas are set to compete at Melodifestivalen 2020 as their own group!
Consisting of Loulou Lamotte, Ashley Haynes, Paris Renita, and Dinah Yonas Manna, The Mamas made quite the name for themselves, both during Melfest, as well as Eurovision, getting almost as much, if not equal amounts of attention as John Lundvik. The Mamas are also helping out John Lundvik during his tour, even getting the "ft. The Mamas" tag in the posters. They are also set to hold several Christmas concerts throughout December in Stockholm.
The song has been described to be along the line of "soul-funk", and, to some surprise, does not have John Lundvik involved in the writing of the song.
Unfortunately, not all members will make it to Melodifestivalen, as the founder of The Mamas, Paris Renita, will be leaving the group prior to the Christmas concerts, as the future schedule would clash with her solo career. Nonetheless, the remaining trio will bring the spirit of Paris throughout their upcoming career as a trio.

[#4] TWO NAMES, ONE CHASE
More names have emerged from Aftonbladet's Tobbe Ek, and we've got some interesting ones ahead of us. Two of these names are namely Albin Johnsén and Suzi P.
Albin Johnsén, 30, is a Swedish singer, rapper and songwriter, who had a major success in 2014 with the song "Din Soldat", featuring Krisin Amparo. This wouldn't be the first involvement in Melodifestivalen for Albin, as he co-wrote Victor Crone & Behrang Miri's 2015 entry "Det rår vi inte för", and also competed the following year with "Rik", together with Mattias Andréasson.
Suzi P (Suzi Pancenkov), 16, is a young Swedish rapper, who got her (rather mixed) breakthrough when "Shunon" was released in early 2019. Since then, she has continued writing music, including "Flex" and her most recent "Livin' La Vida". Many sources point out that one of the reasons for her inclusion was that "she is a strong, confident young woman who raps, which you don't often see at Melfest".
On top of that, SVT is also looking out on getting Eric Saade into the competition for the fourth time. However, getting him in might be tough, as Eric is mostly invest in making songs in Swedish, contradicting his answer in an interview about returning to MF, where he states that "it would be smarter to sing a good song in English in that case".

[#5] TWO NEWCOMERS, AND A RATHER FORUM-KNOWN SINGER
Another week has passed, and Tobbe Ek returns with more information. This time, he has enough known sources to reveal that the schlager star Linda Bengtzing, country singer Frida Öhrn, and - surprise! - newcomer Paul Rey are ready for Melfest 2020.
Linda Bengtzing would make her 7th appearance in the 2020 edition, after previous 2016 attempt with "Killer Girl" finished with a disastrous last place in the semi final. However, considering the big schlager revival which has been done lately with Jessica Andersson's "Party Voice" and Lina Hedlunds "Victorious", makes Bengtzing the perfect third attempt, as her Melfest entry is said to be schlagerpop.
Frida Öhrn would make her 4th attempt in 2020, for the first time as a solo act as well. She had previously participated in the group LaRoxx in 2004, as well as Cookies 'n' Beans in 2009 and 2013.
Paul Rey would make his first ever appearance at Melodifestivalen in the 2020 edition. Many of you may remember him on this forum, as he's participated in the Northvision Song Contest twice in #23 with "All Falls Down", and #25 with "Soldier", finishing runner-up and 6th in each respective edition. While Rey gets good spotify receptions, his popularity in Sweden has not been that high, and thus, an appearance in Melodifestivalen might be the right step for him to gain the remaining fame he needs. The sources also state that his song is very good, and that it has the potential to be one of next years big hits.
There's a chance that Tobbe Ek will manage to reveal one more name for tomorrow's live feed on Aftonbladet, so stay tuned for that one!

FIVE (i've ran out titles)
During Friday November 8th and Tuesday November 12th, Aftonbladet's Tobbe Ek could reveal five more names. Let us go through all of them in order:
First out is the Swedish group Drängarna, who had a massive hit in 1995 with "Vill du bli min fru", same song which also got sued for plagiarism, and was even sent to the Supreme Court of Sweden. Since the creation of the band, they've been releasing many singles and albums, featuring both old and new members. This would be Drängarnas first attempt at Melodifestivalen.
Second out is a familiar face, Robin Bengtsson. Previously coming 3rd in Swedish Idol 2008, Bengtsson has participated in Melodifestivalen twice, in 2016 with "Constellation Prize", and in 2017 with "I Can't Go On", where he won and earned the right to represent Sweden in Kiev, Ukraine. This would be Bengtssons third attempt at Melodifestivalen.
Third up is another Melodifestivalen winner, namely Anna Bergendahl. She previously won Melodifestivalen back in 2010 with "This Is My Life", representing Sweden in Oslo, Norway. Unfortunately, this also happens to be Sweden only non-qualification at Eurovision, taking a toll on Bergendahl's career. Afterwards, she focused a bit on her music, before taking a small break to focus on her medical studies in school. She returned to music in 2018, and not long after that, made her return to Melodifestivalen in 2019 with "Ashes to Ashes". "Ashes to Ashes" was proven to be a success, as it soared both the radio and Swedish charts, landing #1 and #12 in each respective chart. She also qualified to the Grand Finals through the second chance, beating Andreas Johnson, and later finished on a respectable 10th place. This would be Bergendahl's third attempt at Melodifestivalen.
Fourth up is the DJ and Youtube-influencer Anis Don Demina. Don Demina's past was heavily based on him DJing around different clubs both in and outside of Sweden. Later on, he started developing his own songs, as well as focused more on his Youtube channel. He first made an appearance in Melodifestivalen in 2018, where he was the sax player in Samir & Viktor's "Shuffla". Later on, he made his actual debut in 2019, where he sang "Mina bränder" together with Zeana, only making it to a 5th place in the semis. While he has been reported to take part in 2020, sources are not sure whether he'll do it solo, or together with someone else like in 2019. This would be Don Demina's second attempt at Melodifestivalen.
And last, but not least, we have Thorsten Flinck. Flinck is not just a musician, but also an actor, having played several "psychopaths and villains" in many movies and TV-series in Sweden. He started focusing on music in 2002, and he created his very own accompaniment band Revolutionsorkestern in 2008. Flinck made his first Melodifestivalen appearance in 2012, together with Revolutionsorkestern, with the song "Jag reser mig igen. Having a bumpy start, Flinck managed to qualify to the Grand Final from the second chance, finishing an overall 8th place, with a 3rd place from the televoting. He is set to make another appearance in 2020, however, he publicly revealed his participation in an interview, risking him being disqualified from one of the 28 participants, but considering how SVT might twist the rules for some participants, there's a chance he'll receive a light punishment instead. This would be Flinck's second attempt at Melodifestivalen.
15 names have now been revealed by Aftonbladet. Wonder if we'll manage to find out more within the next two coming weeks?

THREE NEW NAMES
After a week, Tobbe Ek can reveal three new acts for the upcoming Melodifestivalen.
First up is a familiar name, namely Renaida Braun. After finishing 6th in Swedish Idol 2016, she focused a lot on her music career, including other theatrical works. She made her Melodifestivalen debut in 2018, where she finished 9th in the Grand Final with "All the Feels". Unfortunately, Renaida announced on her instagram that she had been diagnosed with cancer. Fortunately, she went through an operation, finding out that the cancer had not spread far enough, in which the doctors believe they've managed to remove all of it. This would be Braun's second attempt at Melodifestivalen.
The second act is a rather unique duo, aka Ellen Benediktson and Simon Peyron. Ellen first gained attention during 2013, where she was stand-in for the French entry "L'enfer et moi". A year later, she made her Melodifestivalen debut with "Songbird", finishing in 7th place in the Grand Final. She return a year later with "Insomnia", which unfortunately did not fare well, as she finished 5th in the semi. Simon is the lead vocalist of the metal band Outtrigger, who made their Melodifestivalen debut in 2014. They participated with "Echo", and managed to reach the second chance, but barely missed the final, after being defeated by Helena Paparizou. While the combination is rather out-there, one can expect the song to be more closely to rock, rather than pop or ballad. (literal speculations by me, oop) This would be Benediktson's third and Peyron's second attempt at Melodifestivalen.
Last, but not least, is a debuting duo, namely OVÖ. OVÖ (short for Om vi överlever, or "If we survive") is a hiphop duo consisting of Jaouli "Finess" Akofely and Nickie "Ivory" Osenius. The duo was made in relation to them making the most of their days remaining, as tomorrow is never guaranteed, hence the name of the duo. The duo have been rather current with their music, having released songs such as "Hon är aldrig nöjd", "Zara Larsson" and "Kvicksand". Considering the popularity with hiphop and rap in Sweden, one source mention how "SVT is pushing to find artists for the genre in Melodifestivalen." This would be OVÖ's first attempt at Melodifestivalen.
