Final Results
The contest (and the idea of spending time working on it) have died a hard death. Now, I'm not one to blame anyone, but the failure of ASC hit differently (I had high hopes for it slowly growing and using USoS as a fan contest equivalent) & being the only person to vote for this contest in whatever category it was up for in the year-end awards...
THEN I got fined on my website for having used a copyrighted photo of Flo Rida at ESC with Senhit on a blog post about American singers at ESC. I wrote the blog to bank off of that crazy moment, all I got was a slap in the face. This contest isn't worth a $115 fine, and that's on top of the cost to run the website itself. I wish this was a joke, but it actually happened!! I probably got the photo from Google Images before they stopped circulating copyrighted photos in their search results.
It's enough. I don't have the activity or personality to be a contest manager, or at least SCF is not the venue for it (despite what others may think). Knowing this thing wouldn't grow simply by making a good creative effort is tough. So, it's time for someone else to give it a try and have success with the concept.
However, I owe it to everyone who voted (nearly a year ago now) to post the results, and to finally put a nail in its coffin.
So below, you'll find the grids of the voting points. There will be no final results video for 2022 - I thought about making a video that had just the points being read, but that's dumb, and doesn't live to the level of quality of the rest of years we had. I want to send an overdue congrats to the user (spoiler?) whose song won, and to the 2nd-place user (extra spoiler??) who came so insanely close. Also, no nul points in the Final or SF2 = Good!

Commiserations to those of you who were looking forward to a more graceful or acceptable end to this contest, but that's the way things go sometimes. The ultimate death to American Samoa, Guam, and Kentucky, who got nil points in SF1. If you notice any errors in the grids, let me know. The points totals and placements should be correct, though.

I've been aiming for it for years, so I'm happy I got personal payoff for representing my home state.
It was great while it lasted. Even before ASC came to be, the idea for a US-wide song contest was always so cool to get realized in some way. And for there to be 5-6 editions' worth of material make USoS's overall run satisfying.
