Do you think Portugal, Italy, Poland, Macedonia, Slovakia and Armenia will withdraw? i think Italy, Portugal and Armenia won't withdraw. Italy got a great place this year so i think they'll go again to ESC. Armenia are concern about the security problems but i think they will participate. And Portugal doesn't have money but RTP (The tv responsable for ESC) will only be privatize in the next year, so i think Portugal will go to ESC.

This is basically what I think about the so-called "withdrawing countries", even though one of my friends said it. Just because they haven't announced them yet, doesn't mean they won't participate. They could just be keeping it all one big secret like Azerbaijan did in 2009.
Edit: I guess you guys were right. Unfortunately, the Portuguese entry for 2011 was outstandingly bad, so I'm not surprised. Armenia, I can also understand for reasons already said. Poland got a bad score, so I know why. Italy won 2nd place! What the fuck? Macedonia, I continue to not be surprised. Then again, if all of them came back, we'd still only have 42 entries. @_@

News:
On 16 November 2011 it was announced by Rozhlas a televízia Slovenska (RTVS) that Miro Šmajda had been selected internally to represent Slovakia at the 2012 Contest in Baku, funding his own participation at the event.[79] However by 18 November the Slovak participation was in doubt after a "misunderstanding" between RTVS and Šmajda's management, with some terms of the contract still needing to be discussed.
