Starting from WWWSC #29, the Philippines will host a national selection entitled, "Pambato ng Pilipinas" (The Philippine contender).
It will be the first major NS for the country, aiming to choose the right contender to wave the Philippine flag in WWWSC
and to showcase the Filipino music to the world at the same time.
Mechanics:
1. A recap with 10 songs will be chosen and uploaded; 9 songs from home-grown talents and 1 song from the international act. Artists who only have roots from the country or Filipinos who are in an international group/band will be considered the international act.
2. The NS will be held regularly starting from the 29th edition (will lunch in the grand final of the 28th edition) and shall be shown to co-WWWSC players every final of the contest edition.
