The first part of the furniture moved in the Harpa Concert Hall!
Today was the first day of work in Reykjavik and the workers have started to build the stage structure and the first LED lights. Let's see how the hall does look at the moment!

 Submissions were closed and a judge panel chose 8 lucky artists that will compete in the final of Söngvakeppni Sjönvarpsins!
The selected artists will be all called one-by-one in the studio by one of the jury members and will answer some questions. Stay tuned and refresh this page every 5 minutes in order to get the first news about the artists.

Wow, it's a great feeling, I don't know, I just want to thank everyone who made this possible, me and my team, the jury, the people who supported us, we're so proud! After I heard that 49 songs were submitted to RUV, I was like "I will never make it".. but I was, and I am, wrong.. I hope to make you proud!
Ásdís María Viðarsdóttir will perform the song "Amor" live on the Söngvakeppnin final.

Do you think your song will be voted by the public?
Well, I really hope so, I'm glad I was selected and I got into the competition thanks to my friends. I hope I will do well on stage live, I think my song is powerful enough to get a good place, and why not, to get the first place..
Jon Jonsson will perform the song "Feel For You" live on the Söngvakeppnin final.

Are you happy about judges' decision?
I'm so.. speechless! Thank you so much, of course I'm happy, even more than happy! I promise I'm not going to disappoint you when I'm singing live on stage. And I really hope I will be able to enter the Northvision Song Contest, but it's up to people! Once again, thank you so much!

What did you make to submit a song to this edition?
Well, I thought that if I take part I could really promote myself outside Iceland. My new single was really made for Northvision, and I really hope to get there. I love Northvision, I follow it since the first edition that was quite long time ago and I really enjoyed it. I'm trying to get in RUV's attention since then, because I really want to represent Iceland, I'm proud I passed this round.
