DANSK MELODI GRAND PRIX 06: Announcement Thread
FORMAT
The format of the selection will be the same as the past two editions with some changes. Just like the fourth and fifth editions, ten acts will be competing in this edition; nine Danish acts and one foreign act. However, the announcements will be different in this edition; the songs will be revealed in four days–three songs on the first three days and the foreign act's song on the last day.
DR decided that the voting system would changed as the televoting/jury system did not work out so well. Once all the songs have been revealed, the broadcasters will be able to apply to be part of the voting. Then, the applicants will be randomly divided into groups with the number of the groups and the countries in each being determined according to the numbers of the applicants. The votes in each group will be combined to determine the ranking for each group. During the voting, the country that will be selected as the "jury president" for each group will be announcing the voting results of the group.

2–4 August: Jury Applications
5 August: Jury Groups Draw
6 August: Running Order Draw
8 August: Final - Voting starts
15 August: Final - Voting closes
XX August: Final - Voting results
