Hello, and welcome all to
Dubrovnik, Croatia!This will be the official thread concerning information regarding our second edition of Sounds of Croatia. This time, it will be quite different from our previous national selection. Let's go on further with that;
There will be 12 songs in total. All will be
Croatian acts; this means no foreign songs will be chosen! This time, there's a slight possibility that all songs won't be just in
Croatian. English songs are possible too. The announcements will start shortly (preferably on Friday or after)
FORMAT:
I'll divide all songs into 3 battles, consisting of 4 each. These battles will take place at different times, not at the same time. This random draw will be done in Split, while the national selection will take place in Dubrovnik itself.
-The top 2 of Battle 1 and Battle 2 will qualify to the quarter final. And also the 1st place in battle 3 will go to the quarter final.
-The acts that came 3rd and 4th in Battle 1 & 2 will go to the Clash round. Also, 2nd, 3rd from Battle 3 will get into the Clash round. 4th from that battle will be eliminated entirely.
-In the quarter final, 5 songs will compete. Juries will vote most likely in 12,10,8,5,3 and televoters do differently.
-The TOP 3 from the quarter final will head off to the semi final.
-The top 2 from the Clash round qualify to the semi final which means that the other 2 are now eliminated.
-In the semi final, juries will most likely vote like: 12,10,6,4 and televoters differently.
-The TOP 3 from this semi will qualify to the final.
-Three songs compete in the semi final, which from now is pure televoting.
-The top 2 will make it to the ultimate battle.
-The winner represents
Croatia in North Vision Song Contest #11.Sounds difficult? It should be!
It took me a while to figure out a fun way for me to host this national selection.
Now, time for your help! You can apply now to be a jury; there won't be many places (maybe 10) so do so quickly.
Because of all this format, the first songs will be known shortly.
