I'm very interested in learning the Albanian language, but in my country the presence of Albanians is non-existent and most people don't even know Albania exists. I'm mostly interested in learning it because it is a beautiful and unique language, and I do know it isn't spoken that much outside of Albania and Kosovo. I was just wondering if there were any Albanian speakers on this forum that could give me some basic tips and helpful techniques to begin learning the language? I don't know where to start and how to not lose knowledge in the language once I have become a competent speaker (I learnt French for three years, Japanese for two, fast forward three years and I can barely make conversation with both). Much help would be appreciated, thank you! P.S Is there a difference between the Tosk and Gheg dialects? Are they large differences? Which one is more widely spoken?

The few words I know from Albanian are taken from ESC songs, sorry! But Herciana Matmuja accepts everyone on her facebook, so I guess you can ask her! Imagine! Hersi as a teacher!
