The second edition of Nordisk Melodi Grand Prix will be held in Uppsala, Sweden, after Violet Days won the first edition with their song "Razorheart". The MetallΓ₯tervinning Arena has been chosen as venue for the event, having a capacity of 2,800 people.
To date, the following countries have confirmed for the event: Denmark Faroe Islands Finland Iceland Norway Sweden (Host)
Currently, the contest is scheduled to take place around mid-December, the exact dates for the event have yet to be discussed though. More information will be revealed by SVT at a later date.

Norway will participate in Nordisk Melodi Grand Prix 02. Fender Heist is chosen by the broadcaster with the song "Fighter". Fender Heist is an ecclectic pop duo based in Oslo and FrΓΈder will join in the vocals.
