Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you the prologue!
Prologue:
Several voices echoed from the apartment at the end of the hallway. A blonde haired woman walks beside her boyfriend, who is oblivious to the fear in her body. Inside, her legs feel as if they are about to buckle. Her heart is pounding at a rapid rate; she thinks she is going to pass out. Her hand clenches tightly on her boyfriend's, and she squeezes it to the point where he lets go. "Lindsay, what are you doing?" he asks. "You've been acting strangely over the past couple of days. Is there something wrong?" Lindsay turns away, ashamed. "Dion," she replies. "I'm so nervous. I've never met your friends before and I want to make a good first impression. You honestly don't know how huge this is for me." Before she can attempt to run away, Dion pulls her in for a comforting hug. "Don't worry babe," he reassuringly says. "The other guys have their girls over too, and you'll get along with them just fine. It'll be okay, just trust me." Lindsay smiles. "You always cheer me up, you know that right?" Dion smirks. "Show me." The two exchange a passionate kiss before continuing.

"Ladies! Penny, Sadie, welcome to my apartment!" Travis smiles with glee, standing in front of a dull and boring apartment that lives up to no expectations. "Oh my gosh Sadie look, it's Travis' apartment!" Penny trills. "Oh my gosh, I've always wanted to visit you apartment Trav! Eeeee!" The best friends scream in delight and run inside. "Well, that went well," Travis says to himself.
"Oh my gosh, hey Fleur!" Sadie squeals. "How have things been? It's been an eternity since we last met up! You have GOT to tell me all about your life! I heard about you graduation, how was it? Are you still at university, or have you- coming Penny!" Just as quickly as she arrived, Sadie dashes off to her best friend, abandoning Fleur. Feeling a little bit awkward, she turns to Travis. "So..... Travis, how have your renovations on the house been coming along?"
"Knock knock. Hello?" A short, scrawny guy enters, accompanied by another man who is visibly taller. "Are we in the wrong apartment? Sorry!" the tall one exclaims. "Sheldon, your sense of humour is so 'funny'," Fleur lifelessly says, dull herself. "It never changes or gets old, does it?" Noah smirks, and turns towards Fleur. "How have things been, Fleur? I'm sorry I had to bail at the restaurant last week, my girlfriend had an accident at home so I had to leave." Fleur gets up and exchanges a hug with Noah. "I'm better than ever, thank you for asking! Don't worry about the restaurant incident, things happen." Sheldon sees Sadie and Penny, and wanders off, giving Noah and Fleur the perfect opportunity for an intellectual discussion.
"Sorry about Sheldon," Noah says. "He's not.... all there upstairs, if you get what I mean. But his heart is in the right place. Anyway, enough about Sheldon. How have things been? I heard you graduated a few weeks ago from law school, congratulations!" Fleur beams. "Thank you Noah for your gratitude towards my success. I was offered a job at a well-known firm in the city right after I graduated, they literally pulled me away for the ceremony and offered me a job I couldn't resist. I am now officially a criminal lawyer! And a pretty good one too; I was assigned three clients in two weeks and managed to win all the cases. Not many lawyers can say they have a 100% track record. I must say, as exciting as the field is, I thoroughly enjoy my chosen career path and wish to continue my endeavours as a lawyer in the future. How about you Noah?" Before he could reply, a crash echoed the apartment. "Sorry Trav," Sheldon exclaimed. "I just broke a plate......"
"I'm still the usual, still in real estate, still earning the high salary and still living with my wonderful girlfriend. I'm going on holiday to Greece in a couple of weeks, and I plan to propose to her there." "How cute," Fleur says. "Her name's Eve, right?" Shouting can be heard from the kitchen. "Sheldon, what are you doing???" "Sorry! I didn't mean to do that!"
"What does Sheldon do for a living? I've never asked him that," Fleur asked Noah. "He's unemployed, you know. he's not all there so it's hard for him to get a job. He had one at the end of last year, but the business went bankrupt and had to shut down. He's living with me now, but I'm encouraging him to get a place of his own as Eve doesn't really like him staying with us. Who is that?!?!?!"
A handsome man and a beautiful woman walk inside, hand in hand. "Hello Curt!" Fleur exclaims, while exchanging a hug. "Whose this lovely lady?" "I'm Alicia," she says. "I'm Curt's girlfriend." Fleur and Noah look at each other. "Nice to meet you Alicia," Noah says. "I'm Noah, and this is Fleur. We're good friends with Curt." Awkwardness builds up, so Curt tries to stop it. "Who wants some drinks? I'll go get some, I wanna talk to Travis." He leaves the three alone. "So Alicia, what do you do? You seem to put yourself together quite well, so I'm guessing you're quite successful," Fleur says. "Why thank you Fleur," Alicia replies. "I own and operate a fashion store in the city. It's called Fuchsia, have you heard of it? It's like a boutique." Noah slowly backs away, knowing the conversation is slowly turning into a fangirling session. "Actually now that I think of it, I have! The store with the cute pink dresses, really expensive but worth it?" "Yep, that's my store!" "Oh my, I just got a dress from your store last week! A black evening gown, I think it was called Shades of Midnight... Now if I can remember and recall, I'm sure you sold it to me, what a coincidence!"

Lindsay's talk with Dion comforted her, but couldn't kick her nervousness. "I can't do this." Lindsay stops on the spot. "I'm beginning to sweat and I think my makeup is smearing. You can't take me in there, I look like a disaster, your friends will think I'm the biggest joke of the night!" Dion smirks. "Babe, you're being too paranoid. You need to calm down and take a few breaths. I have met these people before, and they're my closest friends. You haven't met them before, yet alone know their names. I assure you that you will be fine. None of your makeup has smeared on your face and you look beautiful. As I said before, just trust me, you will be fine." The two walk inside.
"I'm here!" Dion yells. "Travis, Curt, where are you? Get out here!" Everyone gathers in the living room. "Travis my man, how have things been? Hey Curt, nice to see you again. Noah, Fleur, nice. Hey Sheldon. Girls, Penny and Sadie, hey! Oh and hello lady I haven't met before." Alicia blushes. "Dion," Curt says. "This is Alicia, my chick." He winks. "Nice bro. Before I settle in, I would like to introduce you all to my girlfriend, Lindsay." Lindsay blushes even worse than Alicia, and gives a quick wave before facing away from everyone. "Omg," Sadie says. "You are totes pretty! Tell me your secret, how do you keep your skin looking so good?" Lindsay smiles. "It's nothing," she says as she walks off with Sadie, the two clearly already forming a friendship. "Well that went good......" Dion says to himself. He looks at Lindsay as she scurries off with Sadie, and already knows she's a keeper.
