Finally  Kazakhstan has voted! Phew... Semi-final 1 is really REALLY tough, I don't know who to expect to flop or to qualify tbh, I liked almost all songs only from there... Wish good luck to everybody! ^^ |

Same, I like the fact this contest you select songs from your country. It's more personal and it's good not having every single person all in one contest. I hate it when contests have too many people it gets overwhelming and it's not as fun imho (I've seen people complain on here, bet they wouldn't moan if they participated ). Plus you get the overused song situation. That tells me that people aren't actually listening to the songs and only base their votes on familiarity and popularity. Then you get those few trolls that'll use the same songs over and over again for cheap wins (Many moons ago this Belgian YouTuber literally chose EVERY song after I submitted and then sent that song to another contest!! ...). These days I'm only in two contests so this issue doesn't bother me so much. On here, I send songs that I like and I try not to always send commercial songs. Anyway, my semi final isn't the strongest for me but there are some really good songs in it!! ^^. |

I love the concept of just participating as your own country, means that no one can take it from you because they are not from your country. I loved it since I joined in #20, which is nearly 2 years ago, hard to believe  As for overused songs you know my opinion.. and sometimes it's not the player's fault if he/she doesn't know/participate in a lot of song contests where this was used. Just vote for what you like.  Originality is good but then again vote for the songs you like, regardless of what they are  |

I like that I'm the only one in the forum from Switzerland which means there is no need to worry that someone else could apply for it once(I won't withdraw that soon anyway  ) About being overused: I try to be always original in WWSC and also in WVSC. I know I sent some overused things to both but I actually knew only a very few times it's overused so you can call my entries in WVSC #5 and #6 original. |
