 Turkey may stay out of the competition due to the current terror situations.  Just like I said .. Turkey won't return to Eurovision next year!TRT hold a meeting today in order to discuss our participation at the Eurovision Song Contests next year. TRT announced that they won't participate at the competition due to the current situations in the country. It is expected to be back again in 2017 though. A sponsor offered TRT to help them to participate at Eurovision but TRT didn't accept. The official announcement on all the Eurovision sites will be in January. Source: TRT Edit: If TRT will change its mind they will ask the EBU for a delay about the confirmation date to confirm their participation. |

Really happy this happened. This year they got three times as many points as their first three entries. Hopefully things can only get better... Some countries like  and  got off to bad starts when they debuted, and they've both come very close to winning since |
