news from  Latvia the head of the broadcaster and the head of delegation were going through many many discussions about the 14th edition, the broadcaster says a no, they don't want to waste money for NVSC anymore. Some artists also protested, they dislike how the selections are done so artists are also not sending in songs for the contest thus not even an artist could be selected internally. Then the HoD talked with the broadcaster, and agreed all or nothing now, they will do a new style of selection and a new format and the previous name for the selection is dropped officially, and it will be called: SuperDziesma. So artists started to send in their songs, which means a participation in the upcoming edition is confirmed. |

After the non-qualification from the PQR last edition, CyBC can confirm that Cyprus will be present in the upcoming edition.
Our entry will be selected by the second edition of our national selection, "ΕΝΑ ΤΡΑΓΟΥΔΙ ΓΙΑ ΤΗΝ ΚΥΠΡΟ", which will be a collaboration with the famous music channel, MAD TV.

 Poland might withdraw from NVSC #14. More information to come soon. There are still talks between HoD and broadcaster. The results of semifinal might influence the decision but don't have to. Official announcement will be reveal in few days. |

  Ireland will be taking part in the North Vision Song Contest 14! This announcement was made during a press conference where it was also announced that the nation shall be continuing to use Made in Ireland to select its representative, with prospective artists able to submit application via the broadcaster's website. Broadcasters hoping to become mentors will be able to apply soon, at some point during the next week.
