After a little less than 2 days of voting, the results seem pretty unanimous, and you guys are in favor of the extra spot! So, from FSC 53 on, there will be a 26th spot reserved for the waiting list to send an entry. One quick rule change:
Maybe it's better to give the 3 countries to the top 3 of the waiting list and let everybody on the waiting list vote.I like this idea but I want everyone to be involved, regardless of how long they've waited. So, each edition, three people will be randomly assigned the three countries, and then the WL will vote on them. The one that gets the most votes will participate in the contest. If a player fails to send an entry, there's no penalty. However, if all three players fail to send entries, then the most senior person on the list will be given the choice.
Other than that, the rules are the same as they were in the first post. Also, in the event that the WL song wins, that player will get to send a song to the following edition instead of the WL, but then the WL will return the next edition (think of how the EBU said it would go with Australia at ESC).
So, waiting list players, get ready, because the countries and selections will be done tomorrow! If you don't want to participate in the WL song choice, just tell me, and I won't tag you for it.
