The only funny thing is that Xavier Naidoo was in The Voice of Germany and the coach of Iveta Mukuchyan Don't put the German flag for him, he denies Germany as sovereign state (Reichsbürger) so it's better to say Xavier Naidoo True

ARD entertainment coordinator Thomas Schreiber said: „We wanted to find someone who sings well, who has an authentic stage presence, and who can enchant all viewers in Europe with his charisma“...
Yeah, that must be Xavier Naidoo with his depressive face then.

A few shocking words from Ann Sophie: "I remember that we, the team of ADR, Universal, Brainpool, were together in summer in a kick-off round in Hamburg before we went to Vienna. The last details were spoken and I was very excited and happy. We were so nice to each other at that time and had a wonderful time together. So I asked: 'Will we have a good time together and can have fun like that after the contest?' The answer was: 'If you finish good, then yes.' I thought it was a joke, but it wasn't. Mr Schreiber told me in an interview after the contest that he likes me as an artist and would like to work with me again. A statement which made me very happy. But after that, I didn't really hear something about him. I think Germany make a right choice by chosing a hit star/writer because that shall be the way of preparing to the contest. Not like: 'Somehow, we'll see and wait..' To choose an artist with experience makes sense in my opinion. According to the team, I wasn't. They told me after the contest that I couldn't connect with you - the fans and the public and I was ignored after that. Because of that, dear fans, there weren't a second video, a second single, and no concerts. And not, because I didn't want to. Dear team and dear Xavier, I wish you good luck and that you win, that you can show Germany that the decision was right. For me it was still a cool experience, an experience which I don't repent and am thankful for. I could meet all my fans who support me until today. You are with me on that way, which just started. Be excited for future projects. Your Ann Sophie ---- I find it disrespecful of thw German broadcaster and team for acting like that with Ann Sophie, she didn't deserve that. Behind the scenes, everything is different. A communication like that shall not be build in a contest like that. That may/could reflect badly at Ann Sophies presence. Just imagine yourself at the situation of her. You'll represent a big nation, so it's kinda a pressure and you work every day to make people proud of you. It's important to have your team and even the broadcaster behind you. In front of the media, everyone is like yeah she was perfect, we made the right decision etc.

to be honest, I don't really like him as a singer. But all this harassment and butthurt about his political views looks really strange for me... he is free to have his opinion on anything. And god damn, he goes to Eurovision to sing - why is everyone discussing his views on the existence of Germany? I would understand if the petition was like "we don't want Xavier because he can't sing" - but no, people decided to mess into politics and examine his views under the microscope... does this mean that soon in the NFs we are going to choose not someone who has the best voice or the best song but the one whose views aren't even slightly different from what the eurofan community believes they should be? For me this looks pitiful. #absolutelynotsorry

Thanks, Kerem, for that post^^
I honestly think, Thomas Schreiber is the biggest coward of all there. The whole time he was like "We fully support Ann Sophie, she is brilliant, we won't have a new voting, she will rock this, there's nothing wrong with our selection procedure, everything is fine" ... and then he totally doesn't care about her.
He is sooo convinced of himself and is so blind about his own mistakes. Instead, they call Ann Sophie unexperienced and think that's why they need to internally select a famous singer. Funny how Stefan Raab always did well with newcomers, but ARD+NDR can't do well with any artist. It's like they don't want to put any effort into it. They don't care. They also never help with the staging or music videos.
We need a normal preselection that actually supports all candidates and gives them all equal chances. Not some stupid clubconcert that later gets mixed with established artists. And not some stupid internal selection.

Well tbh it's obvious that I don't want a singer to represent me (as I'm a German citizen) although he doesn't accept gays. All the Jews are probably offended as well. Also, if he says that Germany doesn't exist, how can he represent Germany then ? That's hypocrite af Beside that, I always hated him as musician anyway Edit: and he even admitted some years ago in an interview, that he's a "racist but not based on skin colour"
