I don't want to offend anyone or sound whiny or harsh and you might not agree with me (although I don't see any reason why you could not agree), but with this theme there are only few countries that can win this thing - those who have artists with top3 places. I could even guarantee that the winner of this edition will be someone who already had top3 placing. And also - many coutries that joined lately didn't have much time to show their potential, so they have to use something they already used few editions ago, although many of them ain't happy about using this artist again... And think about people like Jozef - how the hell do you think he'll vote if there will be like almost only overused artists? I most likely will be in the same situation, when I'll have to give points to songs I dislike... I know you will say that I'm wrong etc. but trust me - I'm not. Not this time... You'll say - miracles happen! Yeah, they do sometimes, but this won't be one of them... And I'm not saying all this because I want to win - no - I want to enjoy the contest while exploring some new artists and songs, not listening to the same over and over again. You all also want to hear something new that you haven't heard before from many of these countries... Isn't that so? For example, Latvia isn't just Lauris Reiniks, Samanta Tīna or Musiqq. And you could say the same about other coutries with their most used artists. And the last thing - I (and many of you too) always had excitement to search for something that would fit the theme, but now it's impossible, because there's nothing to search for... this is just one more "Best of decade" edition before the real "Best of decade" edition... It has the same meaning - to find the best of the best... only this time there will be all countries participating... I find those editions pretty boring to be honest... I'm not mad, but annoyed, because you selected this theme instead of other 6 which were much better than this theme (I wouldn't even call this a real theme - no offence balint). |

Although we don't know all songs of most overused artists i still have a feeling that I'll know at least half of them, although I participate only in 3 contests... And as I said previous - submit me some Lauris's songs that are not overused, but you like - it will be a hard job for you to do, trust me... |
