GLARAY STAYS NEUTRAL ON NORTH POLE CLAIMS

Glaraian president Alvin Armenta has commented on the multiple claims on the North Pole, saying 'the North Pole's claims should only be done on the grounds of relative importance to the area possesses to its people or country, not for personal use or gain. It should not become a political battlefield.' Armenta has thus refused to accept Flirskmasto's claim, saying its claim for 'scientific purposes' is for its own personal use and does not necessarily keep the best interests or have any relevance to the people or the environment. It accepts the claims made on the North Pole by Scandavia, Patriae and Decoria. Glaray is neutral on Fordia's claim as they have not justified their claim.

Flirskmasto Crisis
Armenta has said Glaray is staying neutral in the situation, but warns the Flirskmastoan government on what it says, stating: "Making accusations such as these on a grand scale without proper justification is something that should not be taken lightly. People are pointing fingers because they're scared. There is no reason for Valvetians to attack Flirskmasto - the country is completely irrelevant in the Valvetians' quest for land, therefore the accusations thrown at the Assasynian government are simply unnecessary and unethical, and are uncalled for." As a result, similar to the Assasynian crisis, government officials have called for the emergency evacuation of the Glaraian diaspora in Flirskmasto. They have stated that if people are not willing to make the treacherous journey across the world back to Glaray, they are advised to travel to Flirskmasto's neighbouring countries Gallifrey and Evamaa, where the small Glaraian communities here will gladly assist them in times of need.

Meanwhile, the sole Glaraian killed in the Flirskmasto attacks has been identified as Viktoria Fllaku, a 19 year-old university exchange student studying foreign relations. Viktoria's family have informed authorities she return to Glaray immediately, stating it is an ultimatum and should the family's requests be refused, actions will be taken by government officials. Tomorrow has been declared 'Viktoria Fllaku Day' and all flags will be flown at half mast in Glaray. Vigils have been set up outside her home in Glaray.

Glaray to become Westmont superpower?
There have been many accusations by the press in Glaray that the country is beginning to emerge as a superpower on its continent, Westmont. (Emphasis on continent, not the world)
After Delinia's influence in the region has waned, mass migration of Glaraians to the northern part of the country has meant that there has been a huge boost in Glaray's economy alongside its influence in the country as a result of the increased Glaraian population proportion. Glaray has now become the biggest economic powerhouse in Central Westmont, alongside Vradiazi. It is rumoured now that Glaray may possibly have the biggest economy in the entire Westmont, only second to the US of Eldance.
