MS Ocean was struck by a submarine missile
The cruise ship MS Ocean operated by BlueKerwan, one of the biggest cruise lines company in the world, has been attacked underwater
by a suspect submarine at 11 nautical miles (20 km) away from Pokitaru Rand, causing the ship to slowly sink.
The submarine wasn't identified by the port authority of Kalidonlinn, but according to
all the received information so far, it is believed that the attack was done by terrorists.
Coastguard authorities and the marine rescue squads are now heading to the place of the disaster as over 3000 lives are in critical danger. |

 Updates about the MS Ocean disaster
Rescue squads are still looking for trapped survivors at the maritime disaster site, near Pokitaru Rand.
Although no official data has been confirmed yet, various sources state that there are up to 2700 casualties,
as only a few life boats managed to escape away from the sinking cruise ship.
Many bodies have been found floating over the waterline, but haven't been identified yet. The weather conditions off shore didn't help the authorities to conduct all the necessary operations properly, and therefore the Kerwanese Port Authority asked for additional operating crew.
The attack was finally claimed by the VSTG, the Valvetian State Terroristic Group from  Assasynia. Prior to the maritime attack, the Kerwanese government made an important announcement, in which the president of the country declared that Kerwan was completely against the autonomous region of Valvet's declaration of independence.

Updates about the MS Ocean disaster
It's a sad day for  Kerwan today, as the country is still paying the consequences
and the effects of the only terrorist attack ever happened within the island's borders
(or in this case, within Kerwan's martime borders).
The number of casualties raised up to 2147, but there are still several bodies trapped in the
ship wreck.  Identifying all the victims will be a long and complex operation  , said the head
of the rescue authority.
The Kerwanese president, Mr Rikko Rebane, set a National Mourning Day on the 2nd September 2015,
and stated: It's horrible how innocent people always have to pay the consequences of political affairs,
I'm still speechless. We will fight terrorism and all of their forces, it shall not exist in this world!
My deepest condolences go to all of the victims' families and relatives.
A minute of silence will be observed in all the Kerwanese institutions this morning. |

Will Kerwan join the Centralian Union?
Just a few weeks ago, the Minister of International Affairs, Margus Kokkinotrimithia,
has been given a chance to join the Centralian Union,
a new political organization meant to economically and socially develop the countries which are geographically located in Centralia.
As a majority opinion about the matter couldn't be found within the Parliament, the President Rikko Rebane has decided to
let the Kerwanese citizens decide over the country's future themselves.
A public referendum will be held on the 13th of September 2015 over the question  Should the Republic of Kerwan join the Centralian Union in order to establish economical and commercial ties with other Centralian nations?  and the relative answers Yes, the Republic of Kerwan should join the C.U. and No, the Republic of Kerwan should not change its current status in matter of international affairs.
For the referendum to be declared as valid, the 50%+1 of the whole population (over 18) must cast a vote.
Joining the Centralian Union would entail pretty big changes in the current Kerwanese legislation,
such as allocating part of the national budget to scientific and military programs,
or allowing citizens or commercial products of the whole C.U. to travel to Kerwan without a visa/permission.
