Deepest point of Fantasia discovered ! Lanovian scientists discovered a 15km deep ground in the ocean, located northeastern from the mainland of Lanovina and southeastern from the state of Meckingle Islands, while being located northwestern of  Fordia. The scientists examined the ocean to know more about the conditions there, but randomly found the deep. They quickly sent an expedition to look for the case and discovered the very deep point, which is now called "Lano-Point". So far, it's the deepest known point of Fantasia. New festival planned ? Sarindon, 3rd October - Today, the HoD of Lanovina announced that a new festival might take place: the Lano-Festival. In the festival, all 12 Lanovian states send a song. All the songs will be presented in a TT show. After that, all viewers can vote for one state and the winner will be the state with the most votes. The contestants won't be safed for future Lanovian FC participation so, neither will the winner take part in FC. It's just a festival for fun (like the ABU festival). If there are enough interested people, it could be introduced that each state gets to vote with the 1 - 12 system and a recap will be introduced (only if someone would like to create it lolo). If the interest is high (what I don't expect) the winner will be selected for the FC. If it won't be used as NS in the future, the festival would take place each 1 or 2 months. What do you think about the idea ? Is it interesting ? Would you be more interested if it was the NS for Lanovina and had the "normal" voting system ? Or is it a bad idea because it doesn't have any use except fun (again, this could change in the future) ? Weird creature spotted in Loch Leila Loch Leila is the only lake of our country. The 4th biggest city, La Leila, is located on the northern side of the lake (you can see that on the map above) During the last days, some weird photos of kind of snakes have been made. Is there a monster in the lake ? So far we didn't caught anything, but people from the whole country and other nations visit the lake. Maybe some of them will caught it for real. National school weeks From Monday 9th November, until Friday, 20th November, the national school weeks took place. On this annual weeks, the students of the grades 10 - 12 (the last years until the "adult life") write exams each day. Those exams aren't normal ones, the exams are made to test the students about their knowledge in nearly all subjects to compare it with the international standards and to see, where improvement is needed. Here are the average results of this years school weeks (the change compared to the previous year is mentioned in the brackets): 1.0 = best 6.0 = worst Allemanju (western Lanovina): 2.8 (+0.3)
Lanovian (central Lanovina): 2.2 (-0.2)
Åston (eastern Lanovina): 2.5 (+0.8)
Engju: 2.0 (=)
Maths: 3.4 (-0.3)
Biology: 2.4 (+0.7)
Psychology: 1.7 (+0.2)
Physics: 2.7 (+0.1)
Chemistry: 3.0 (-0.4)
Sports: 2.1 (+0.4)
Geography: 2.3 (=)
History: 3.2 (-0.5)
Computer: 2.5 (+0.1)
Politics & Economy: 2.0 (+0.6)
Subjects which weren't included in the school weeks: Foreign languages, music/arts/literature, religion/philosophy All in all, this years school weeks showed, that especially the average grades in Åston, Biology and Politics & Economy rise, while Maths and History should get improved. According to the average grades, Lanovians are (just as in in the previous 4 years as well) best educated in psychology with an average of 1.7, while Maths is now the worst subject for the country, with an average of 3.4. We will see in ~1 year if the government handles this situation in a good way. |

New state !
Since today, the Choli Islands, former part of  Seneraya, joined Lanovina as 13th state ! The Lanovian government decided to take the islands over, after the Senerayan government left the country. The capital city of the Choli Islands is Cholien, with 549.382 citizens. The Choli Islands in general have 1.905.633 citizens.
