Evämaa is officially a secular state, and most of the population is not religious at all. That being said, there are significant Christian populations in the rural parts of the country and Islamic populations in metropolitan centers like Midimeri. On the islands of the Jääcy Archipelago, many people still hold onto traditional folklore, known as Storinat.

The rest mainly follow Christanism (23%), while 3% of the population is estimated to follow ancient religions that were believed they were extinct.

The Religion of Shqipas The religion of Shqipas was founded 1000 years ago by the Alban race in Pohunskia (now extinct), the holy city for this religion Tiran was sacked by their neighbours and all of their temples were destroyed. Pohunskia currently has temples across the country and they hold parades to celebrate their gods who guided them to their new home of Pohunskia. This religion was founded by the legendary warrior King Tatunus when he was riding home after he was defeated by another kingdom (name unknown) but three bolts of lightening hit the ground around him giving his horse a heart attack. King Tatunus, who feared death from starvation as he was in the middle of a barren land, was speaking to the sky begging for the holy beings who killed his horse to save his life and in return he would dedicate his life to them. A glowing orb came down from the sky and knocked him out by flying straight at his forehead. He woke up hours later outside the walls of his capital and was carried to his throne room. The King told his advisors the story of the orb and how it saved his life. The King ordered his people to build grand temples for the beings and he had vivid images in his mind of what the gods looked liked along with their responsibilities that kept the world in balance. To this day King Tatunus is known as King Tatunus the Holy Founder and was named the greatest ruler of the Kingdom of Albaner. When the Kingdom of Albaner fell the people evacuated their homeland into boats that took them to the land that would be known as Pohunskia. The people were guided by a light from the heavens and the people believed that the ending of their kingdom wasn’t the end for their nation but the beginning of a greater nation that would stand the test of time. The Alban people landed on the coast of Pohunskia and travelled for miles until they met with the other races that formed Pohunskia. The people surrounding them lost their hope and some actually committed mass suicide just to end their pain but the Alban people told them about their gods and their plans for the future. They began to build the grand city of Noroyska that still stands today as the new holy city for the Shqipas religion. Gods ShqipanerThe King of the gods and is known as a figure of power and prestige. Kings and generals go to temples to seek blessings from this god so he will look after them in wars that are seen as just in his eyes. HelenarThe queen of the queen of the gods who is known as the goddess of fertility and beauty. Pregnant women normally go to her temples to pray when they find out that they are with child but this god don’t approve of mothers who ask her to give them a boy or a girl. The gods will choose the gender of your baby and asking them to change their mind is a massive insult. AlanaxThis god is one of the two princes of the god world and is known as the god of the harvest. People who work in the farming industry pray to this god asking for a bountiful harvest. This god is normally seen with wine or bread symbolising the fertility of the lands of Pohunskia. DeminaThis god is one of the three princesses of the god world. She is known as the goddess of love and heartbreak. She is the main figure at weddings in Pohunskia and she sees love as a thing between two people. In the holy texts she says “Love is love and I will never stop the love between two human beings”. She’s also an international symbol for the gay pride movement in many countries who viewed homosexuality as a sin but the people of Pohunskia are proud about being one of the very few countries who have never seen homosexuality as a sin. Particus This is one of the two princes of the god world and is known as the god of celebration. People don’t pray to this god because this god in the holy texts said “don’t pray just party”. Statues of him can be seen in bars and restaurants with wine flowing out of his mouth. BethaniThis goddess is one of the three princesses of the god world and is known as the goddess of sea. This god was the one who guided the Albaner ships to Pohunskia and settled the seas to make their journey to the land as peaceful as possible. Fishers normally pray to her as well as admirals who go out to sea to pray for peaceful seas. Massalia This goddess is one of the three princesses of the god world and is known as the goddess of luck. Praying to this god for monetary gain is highly insulting to her but praying to her about the survival of a loved on is encouraged as she will judge the person’s life. The goddess has been seen in flashbacks before death and she asks the person their life to something with the gift of life as payment.
