DEMONSTRATIONS FOR MORE INDEPENDENCE IN THE BROWN REGION A few weeks ago a group of people called "Brown For Indepence" started small actions wich quickly became big protests (in Islandia the capital of the region) against the beklian government. They stated that The Brown Region should get more rights as an autonomous region inside of Beklium and that the name and flag of the region should change as they want to be as independent as possible they want the name to be changed to The Great Islands as most of the people know it and the flag to be changed to a version without the Beklian flag on it The government of Beklium has decided to hold a referendum in the Brown Region with the question "Do You want the Brown Region to be an autonomous region inside of Beklium ?" The referendum will be held this Friday and after that we will know if the Brown Region can be as autonomous as they want. |

 Kerwan would like to become a trade partner with  Beklium!  Due to the geographical position of the country, all the trades would be made by sea means (ferries, cargo ships, etc.) The first Beklian embassy has been recently inaugurated in Kalidonlinn by both of the leaders of the countries. |

 REFERENDUM FOR MORE INDEPENDCE FINISHEDExact one week ago the referendum was held for more indepence in the Brown Region
The inhabitans where asked 3 questions
1. Do you want the Brown Region to be an autonomous country inisde of Beklium ?
2. Do you want the flag to be changed ?
3. Do you want the name of the region to be changed to The Great Islands ?
And this where the results
Question 1
Yes: 81,26%
No: 18,64%
Question 2
Yes: 51,32%
No: 48,68%
Question 3
Yes: 72,98%
No: 27,02%
Wich means the Beklian government has given The Brown Region more independence and the region is now autonomous, the name of the region is changed to The Great Islands and their flag will be changed as soon as possible
The inhabitants of the region are very happy and thank the Beklian government for giving them this chance. |
