This is actually a different case. Americans and Australians don't feel attached to the UK. The status of Aland was created after Finland became independent. Aland petitioned to the League of Nations to get transfered to Sweden. As a compromise, the League of Nations decided that Aland was to be autonomous within Finland, but the primary attachment of theirs is still to Sweden. So, they are part of Finland without initially wanting to be part of Finland. A sidenote: Please don't allow Finnish-language songs for Aland, most of them don't speak it and don't like it. Any song that Aland or any other nation wish to use must be sent to the moderators for acceptance. We will be fair and realistic in our decision. i have told taytun1717 to change his song, so we can start fresh and forget about this  |
