TVE announced 20th December 2015 that the selection format for the 18th edition of North Vision will be changed. TVE has bought the rights for Rising Star, which means that it will be used as Spain's national selection.

The format:
The national selection consists of ten songs spread over two semifinals. The two songs with highest number of percents will qualify for the grand final. The eliminated songs will get a new chance in the second chance round, but only one of them will qualify for the grand final. The song with the highest number of percents in the grand final will represent Spain in the 18th edition of North Vision.

The voting:
The shows will take place on TogetherTube. The songs will be played, and you'll vote by links which will be posted there. You will have to vote either "UP" or "DOWN" on each song. However, the dates haven't been set, but more info comes soon.
