"After our fail in the Quarter Final of the thirty-second edition, we were contemplating our choices on whether the International Music Festival is truly the best place to showcase upcoming Egyptian artists on a European, Western Asian and Oceanic level. However, we have gained enough funds in order to compete! We are, at present, unsure of the act that will represent our nation, which is why Egypt will be holding an open call for songs to be received. This means that any Egyptian artist which wants to represent Egypt can send their song in to us before the 24th of February, which we will therefore reduce the song amount. We are not certain if we will hold a National Selection with these songs, or save them for later editions, but we are ever so grateful to the IBU for this opportunity."
