  Ireland Have Decided! Dublin, Ireland - After the confirmation RTΓ did some days ago,there were discussions about who would represent Ireland at  International Music Festival #33. After many songs applications, RTΓ decided to go with their heart and picked ... Shane Filan - "Me And The Moon" Shane Filan is a really known singer,especially for been part of the group 'Westlife'. He was part of the group together with former participants of International Music Festival like Markus Feehily (IMF 30,  2nd place) and he was also a former participant of the contest.After Westlife's separation,Filan started his own solo career,and becoming one of the most known irish singers.
RTΓ gave the opportunity to Shane,to choose one of his songs,which one he'd like to sing on the stage of IMF #33,with him choosing "Me And The Moon" as the irish representive song. Shane mentioned the reason why he picked this song at his interview with many international journalists saying the above:  After a lot of thinking,and believe me it was harder than you can imagine to pick the right entry,me and my team decided to go with our hearts,and pick the song which makes us feel great and emotional."Me And The Moon" I believe is the perfect song to describe someone's feelings during a heartbreak,or even when you feel disappointed.I am really honoured to have this opportunity and I hope I made the right choice,because International Music Festival is like one of the biggest shows in Ireland,and I personally would like to make all irish proud,just like with other participants during all those editions!
