De Vrews (Vremd News)

Representing De Vremdspongeln was a great experience for me, I'm really thankful for every single citizen who voted for me in En Vremd Lied and also to De Vremd 1 for making this amazing trip come true. However, I have to react to the results.

First of all, the Betting Odds predicted my song to be fifth in the Semi-Final. Bookies are often seems to be wrong, but not with a really bg difference, so I thought that I might be a borderline qualifier after all, or finish somewhere around 8th and 9th. After it was revealed that I didn't qualify to the final, a lot of delegations came to say that my song was good and they will miss it from the final, so my hopes of ending 8th or 9th were even higher. Last night, the official results were revealed, and the 12th place was more than disappointing, especially because the Jury ranked me 11th and the Televote 10th. I know that every single country worked so hard with their staging (just like us of course), but it was still disappointing to see that the hard work we put on our show meant only the 12th place in the Semi-Final.

Second of all, I think many good songs failed in the Semi-Finals, and this led to a not really my cup of tea final line-up. Fortunately, the winner Banks is my friend and had a great song, so I'm really happy that she managed to win, even tho I really disagree with the other places in the Top 5. My personal favourites were Lanovina and Decoria, which were really robbed (but at least our country gave them high scores).

Of coruse there were positive things about the contest, for example the great friendships that I've made with a lot of delegations, such as Prunia, Golden Land, US Eldance, Decoria, Maronesia, Glaray, Lanovina etc. Thank you so much guys for being so awesome, I hope we can stay friends after the contest too.

After all, it was a lovely experience and I really wish our next representative the best of luck and finally a qualification for us.
