RTV SLO CONFIRMS THE SLOVENIAN PARTICIPATION
After the unsuccesful national selection "NMA 18", the slovenian Broadcaster RTV SLO decided to cancel the cooperation with POP Channel.
Anyways, RTV SLO decided to continue the North Melody Festival (NMA) with a new system. There´ll be either a show with 5 Songs or a show with one artist and 2-5 songs.

The announcement has been made through RTE's twitter, that Ireland will not be taking part in the North Vision Song Contest #19
Whilst the broadcaster hasn't found it easy to fund the contest in the past, they have always managed it. However, due to a bad financial year for the broadcaster, the same could not be said for this edition.
While it has not been confirmed nor denied whether this will be just a withdrawal for one edition or for longer, however Ireland is expected to return in the 20th edition.
