 DAY TWOYesterday has been Day Two of The Hunger Games.
It has been the tributes' first night on the island.
Here is an overview of the events of Day Two!
 Almost all of the teams built shelters out of wood, leaves and other material.The first night was cold and rainy. None of the tributes gave up though.At about 4AM WCT, the  Lakadamian team could be seen strollingthrough the woods. They were searching for camps of other teams tosteal their goods. Close to a small cave, they found the shelter of the Lanovian team and stole most of the items they had claimedat the Cornucopia the day before. The Lakadamian team managed tosteal the items without waking the Lanovians up and left.Team  Angostura could not sleep because of the freezing temperatures.Debora and Prostibulo could not get a fire started. They kept on trying to rubwet wooden planks against each other. Apparently this scene became viral onsocial media in Fantasia.In the morning of Day Two, most of the teams started getting upand doing sporty activities to keep warm.The team from  Sirenforest had a problem.Kathrine Longsonn could not get up to help her team mate.She tried several times but complained about her hurting leg.To keep her safe and healthy, the team decided that it would be better ifKathrine left the island to get medical care.She said the official words: "I want to leave the island." and thereforeleft the competition. The ship steered to the pier where Kathrine waspicked up and brought to the mainland. She was interviewed by Vanessa GriskΓΊr:"I am so sorry to disappoint my home nation. I wouldn't have expected
to leave the island this soon, but I think it is better for me. I couldn't even walk
with my leg and I would just have been a handicap for my teammate.
He is strong and he will make it. I believe in him."- A chime could be heard in the distance - The tributes had to face their first challenge in Day Two.Each team had to get back to their place in the cornucopia.A team of technicians was sent to the middle of the island, too.They were let down to meet the tributes. Each tribute received a wristband.With these wristbands, the exact location of the tributes could be transmittedto the mainland. SSV1 later added a map of the island with the locationsof the tributes, constantly updating.The tributes were also introduced to their first challenge:COLOUR BATTLE
Each team received one gunshot and several grenades.
No, not the real weapons! The guns and grenade were filled with the
team colours. The teams now had 10 minutes to hide in an area
around the cornucopia, where trees and rocks secured good hideouts.
After the 10 minutes were over, the challenge started.
In 30 minutes time, the teams had to shoot and throw colour grenades
at each other. The team with the least paint on their suits
would win a special prize.
After 30 tense minutes of shooting colours, the results were counted.
After an advertisement break, the results were announced:

  #USE
  #BEK
The Glaraian team won the challenge and therefore received their prize.
Two sleeping bags, two bars of chocolate and two bottles of Fanta, sponsored by McAdole's!

The commentator from SFTV 3's comments on day 2: I am so sorry for Kathrine :/ I hope she gets better soon and comes back to Sirenforest proud even if she didn't make it long. At least she tried Anyway, good luck Granfir! |
