. . . . . . If you come to  Macedonia,you should visit the Milenium Cross in Skopje.  The Millennium Cross (Macedonian: Милениумски крст, Mileniumski krst) is a 66-metre (217 ft) high cross situated on the top of the Vodno Mountain in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia. It was constructed to serve as a memorial of 2,000 years of Christianity in Macedonia and the world.

  Berlin, to be honest. It's a very impressive city, full of history. For example, you can visit the Gedächtniskirche (=Remembrance Church). In the Second World War, many bombs hit Berlin, the Gedächtniskirche is now a ruin as a result of that. It's a really powerful monument now, especially with that name. And you can also see some bullet holes on this church (and many other old buildings all over Berlin).  There are also many memorials, for example this one for the Jewish victims of the Holocaust: It's really big and overwhelming.  And while you're walking through Berlin you can still notice the differences between West Berlin (which belonged to the Federal Republic of Germany) and East Berlin (which belonged to the German Democratic Republic) . Throughout entire Berlin, you can now see a line that shows you where the Berlin Wall used to be; the wall that separated West Berlin from East Berlin. There are even some real leftovers of the Wall that are now legally used by grafftitti artists.  So if you're interested in WW2 and its aftermath, this is the city you have to visit. And apart from all the history references, Berlin is a very modern capital city with a great night life. |
