"A Song For Georgia #7"
Welcome ladies and gentlemen to our National Selection for the Northvision Song Contest #20!
To celebrate the 20th edition of the big contest, GPB is planning to run a national selection, bigger
than it ever was.
►► System ◄◄
24 songs from
Georgian artists or artists with Georgian descent has been decided to compete inour National Selection. There will be songs sung in several languages, from
Georgian to 
Russian and 
Ukrainian to 
English and even 
Lithuanian.They will be divided into 3 semifinals with 8 songs each. From each semi, 3 songs will qualify directly
to the Grand Final, while 2 songs get into the Second Chance Round. The 3 songs with the least amount
of points in a semi will be eliminated.
The Second Chance Round will consist of 6 songs (the 4th and 5th placed songs of the semifinals),
where 3 songs will be able to qualify to the Grand Final.
The Grand Final will have 12 contestants (3 songs from each semi + 3 songs from the SCR). The song
with the most points in the Grand Final will represent Georgia in the NVSC #20.
►► Voting ◄◄
In both the semifinals and the SCR, votes from HoDs of the NBU delegations will be counted individually.
Votes of Co-HoDs will only be counted if the HoD votes as well (both votes from HoD and Co-HoD will be combined though).
Votes from associate broadcasters will be combined to a "Rest Of The World"-vote.
The Grand Final will consist of 12 juries (2 Georgian juries + 10 other national juries) and the televoting.
The juries will be decided like in
Fantasifestivalen or 
AVEM by the activity of thevoting countries in the rounds before. So if a country votes in every semifinal and in the SCR as well,
the chances to get a jury place in the Grand Final will be higher.
►► Contestants ◄◄
The contestants of ASFG #7 will be announced like follows: The first day, the artists participating as starting
numbers 01 and 02 in the semifinals will be revealed, the next day the contestants with starting number 03
and 04 and so on. After the artists announcements, the respective songs will be showed in the same system
as with the artists' announcements.
