I really like MSC !
Especially the 'first one gets the country part' => that way you have the chance to get any country every edition and you're able to use different countries every edition.
I actually like that there is no originality rule. I don't follow a lot of contests (only those that I'm participating in really lol) and that way there are 'overused' songs that I have never heard of !
I agree with the comments on the deadlines. It definitely gives people the feeling 'oh, I'll do it soon' (=> me included)
