Second Chance Round
Welcome ladies and gentlemen to our National Selection for the Northvision Song Contest #20!
The recap of the Second Chance Round is up now, and it's time to start voting!
6 contestants which managed to reach the 4th or the 5th place in their respective semis are competing,
but only 3 songs will get the last spots in the line-up of the Grand Final.
It's up to you which songs will be successful here!

BREAKING NEWS
Tbilisi ♦ While the voting in the Second Chance Round is going, one participating entry of the current
round shocked the Georgian Northvision delegation around Antone Gomerishvili with bad news.
The delegation found out that the respective song has already been performed to an
earlier date at a concert which was filmed by some fans in the audience.
The concert has been identified already and it took place the 21st June 2013 in Batumi, Georgia.
The video was revealed on YouTube the same day as the concert took place, so therefore that song
has been released at least before the 21st June 2013.
However, as the rulesbook says, a song cannot be performed before the actual song confirmation
deadline, which was the 23rd April 2016 for the 20th edition.
Due to this incident, the respective artist has been called to Gomerishvili's office in Tbilisi so that
a discussion between him, the artist and the whole deleagtion could take place.
As it wasn't hard to expect, Antone Gomerishvili stated that he never would
have expected it from such a hopeful and loyal artist, however such a hard infringement against
the rules of the Northvision Song Contest would have consequences on the accused song.
The artist understood the arguments and aspects the delegation tried to show them. The whole
discussion lasted about 2 hours until a compromise has been found.
Before we reveal the results of the discussion, open the following spoiler to see which
song is actually affected by it.
The song which brought all the drama is "Pozovi" by Nodar Revia!
What is that compromise the delegation, Gomerishvili and the artist came to?
At the moment, Nodar Revia is competing with his song in the Second Chance Round.
That's why a immediate disqualification has been declined by Gomerishvili.
Another option, definetely the preffered one, has been accepted:
If Nodar manages to qualify to the Grand Final with "Pozovi", then he'll have to change
his song to another, so that people are not able to vote for a song in the final which is
against the NVSC rules.
Nodar already had time to think about what song he would switch to in the case of his
qualification.
It would be "Mysli", his new single!
As conclusion, here is a message from Nodar to all his fans and voters:
"Guys, I am so sorry that you have to find all that out during my participation here.
I hope you will support me as much as in the semifinal so that I can take part in
the Grand Final with my new, fresh song which, in my honest opinion, has more

Real reason:Obviously there is no prove that "Pozovi" has been performed in 2013, and of course there is no rule that bans songs from competing (well songs before 2000, but that's not the case here obviously). However Nodar just released "Mysli" yesterday and I couldn't help myself not doing something with it. That's why I tried to find a way to still include it in ASFG as this is my last selection (and participation) with Georgia in NVSC (many of you know already that I will swap after #20 ends). I hope you get my point!  |
