EVE AI TO REPRESENT TAIWAN

Ai Yiliang, or rather known simply as Eve Ai is a singer hailing from the thriving island of Taiwan. On the day of the announcement of the associate broadcaster final, Taiwan Television (TTV) immediately approached Yiliang who enthusiastically accepted their offer for her to be representing Taiwan in the North Vision Song Contest. Yiliang is hugely popular in her country and has only recently released another studio album of hers called Talk About Eve. Her style of music is vastly different from her fellow popstars as Yiliang has said that Western music has been her main source of inspiration musically, compared to the idyllic mandopop nowadays. She has cited many Western artists, Faye Wong and Jolin Tsai's older material as some specific examples of this.

Yiliang has had two significant hits from her latest studio album: The Sum of Us and Harmless Loneliness. TTV, however, narrowed their shortlist down and have agreed alongside Yiliang herself that Harmless Loneliness will be the official Taiwanese entry for the Associate Final.

Elizabeth Rose to represent Australia
In what would be a suprise move for the nation, Australia will be sending Elizabeth Rose to the Associate Final. Born in Sydney, she isn't well known in the Australian music scene and when ABC approached her to be the Australian represtinive, she immientaly accepted the offer as she would get her music out there in the wider world. Her style of music is electroinca which is rarely heard in the music scene in Australia.

She will be sending the song Playing with Fire which was aided by Remi who was from Melbourne. You can able to listen to the entry in the spoiler below and we wish her good luck.

It has been finally announced that the Pop singer Romina Palmisano will represent Venezuela at the Associate Broadcasters Final for the 20th edition of the Northvision Song Contest

Right after she was presented in a press conference in Caracas she was invited to come in and she thanked her selection

"I'm extremely grateful to Venevision and all their workers for choosing me to represent my beautiful country, for sure I will give my best this time"

Australia disqualified from the Associate Final due to breaking the rules!

Tonight,

ABC has revealed their entrant for the Associate Final in order to be able to compete in NVSC #20 in Albania.

As it was later declared, the entry broke the rules for not being approved by the council.
Hence the NBU council took action and disqualified Australia from competing in the Associate Final.
This reduces the amount of current participants from 23 to 22.

Today the Ghanaian broadcaster GTV has told the Ghanaian newspaper newsghana.com.gh:

''There were nearly 110 submissions from the local artists and from the artists of Ghanaian descent, who have great careers in other countries. After discussions we finally made our choice and we can hapiily announce that the selected artist is Y'akoto, German born Ghanaian singer. She will sing the song 'Perfect Timing' in the associate members final. We wish her good luck and we hope she'll make us proud!''
