 Hildur may very likely be Dýria's next participant
Although nothing has been confirmed by DRTV or Hildur herself, it looks very likely that Hildur will be Dýria's 6th participant.
On August 15th 2016, DRTV confirmed participation in Fantasia Contest #6 and stated that  Alda and Hildur were highly tipped to be taking part for Dýria. However recently Alda confirmed that she won't have the time required to participate in #6, although she told the press she is arranging a deal between her & DRTV for a future participation.
After this, many Dýrian fans have been speculating that Hildur was chosen by DRTV and was working on her participation after she posted this on Rawr;
"Ég vinna ar rud éigið móra.. ég súilið að þú verður an rud sin! #Staytuned"
"I'm working on something big.. I hope you will like that thing!"
The singer who was once part of the group Rökkuró, who were popular in Dýria and  Achróa, has stated that ever since it's formation, she loved Fantasia Contest and wanted to take part for Dýria. Last night on "Late Night With Nene Leakes" Hildur commented on the rumours; "I was approached by DRTV & I was happy and surprised. But whether I accepted or not will be revealed soon!"
Whether Hildur is our artist or not will be confirmed in October. |

Change of plans for  Lab Rador !
As there's no interest in Labradoran NS we're going to cancel the selection and choose entry internally. This will be one of those two songs that were chosen to participate in NS. |

 EVÄMAEN LAULUJUHLA CANCELLED, INTERNAL SELECTION CALLEDMIDMERI - After a long period of silence, Telemaa released a statement today saying that the second Evämaen Laulujuhla would be cancelled due to a lack of funding. In the same statement, Telemaa officials confirmed that the country's next entry would be chosen by the same team of jurors that would've taken part in the national selection. HoD Launo Pätevöityä declined to comment on the matter.
Evämaa was represented by Shura in Alkyria at FC 5. The country qualified to the final for only the second time ever, and their finish is still pending.

HILDUR TO REPRESENT DÝRIA
DRTV has confirmed this evening that the rumours surrounding Hildur's participation in Fantasia Contest #6 are indeed true.
Hildur was present on "Late Night with Nene Leakes" where she discussed the rumours, and has confirmed herself that after 2 months of speculation, she has been officially selected by DRTV, the Dýrian broadcaster, to be their next hopeful in Fantasia Contest. She confirmed that;
"My participation in Fantasia will be truly a magical experience in my career and life. I have wanted to be Dýria's participant ever since I started watching Fantasia, and I'm glad to say it is coming true!"
Who is Hildur?
Hildur Kristín Stefánsdóttir, otherwise known as Hildur, is a Dýrian singer born and raised in Dyflinnjaborg. Ever since her youth, she has aspired to become a professional musician and potentially show her talent to the international community. A few years back, she was part of the Dýrian-Achróan group "Rökkurró", with the group being very successful in both countries.
In 2015, Hildur embarked on a new project known as "SUNDAY". Although only releasing one song, "Fjaðrir" stayed atop the Dýrian charts for 6 weeks. Later that year, she decided to work as a solo artist.
The song won't be known until late November or early December.

Changing plans in  Alkyria!
Akureyri, Alkyria.
Despite the fact that HGP has considered Polyna as the representative of Alkyria in the Fantasia Contest #6 edition, a drastic change has occurred this morning, as Polyna hasn't sent her song in time for the upcoming edition, and she decided to stay a while behind in order to work at her upcoming album.
So, apparently it's the second time Alkyria is changing the entrant in its history during the Fantasia Contest, the last one being the swap between Rayhon to Transviolet.
In comparison with the whole thing from #3, Polyna will have her time to represent Alkyria in FC - but in #7.
Therefore, Alkyria's singer, intended for #6, will join the Fantasia Contest family only in #7, making her the first confirmed artist earlier than intended.
...........But who's going to represent little Alkyria then?
Well, the entrants which will replace Polyna for #6 is also a band (how ironic, history repeats again  ) which were swapped way earlier than expected, as they were rumored to go for #7 rather than #6.
Well, Fantasia, let's meet the new artists, shall we? Meet:
 Veridia! Hailing from the little city of Maguna, Veridia are newcomers to the Alkyrian music industry by winning this year's "Battle Of The Bands" held in Ceryl. Adopting the alt-rock form, this band was expected to enter this FC only in the 7th edition, however, the plans changed, and here you have it - Veridia is going to wave the Alkyrian flag in the 6th edition.
They're a 4-member band, consisting of Deena Jakoub, Kyle Levy, Brandon Brown & Trevor Hinesley.
Veridia has first rised to fame during their release of the EP of "Inseparable", which earned them a lot of popularity & support in the Alkyrian music industry. However, their journey doesn't end here, as they've reached platinum for their song "We Are The Brave", charting #1 for 12 weeks in a row & being the most streamed song at that moment. "It's a rare occasion to hear that you've been chosen as the ones waving the flag in Fantasia Contest, it's like one in a million and you feel like you've won the jackpot from the first try. It's a feeling you can't describe in words, however we didn't anticipated the early switch by now. It's still unbelievable." - said Kyle. "We understand Polyna for actually giving up to maintain her new career with her upcoming music, no artist can do them all, and I have hopes she'll make a great album. She also was very nice to send us a video message for telling us the whole thing and giving us the best of luck in the upcoming edition.
