 Austria confirms its participation !
Vienna, 16th November 2016: Julian Ostmann, HoD of Austria, announced that Austria will compete once again. At the moment, it's not sure whether a national or internal selection will be used to select the entry. A national selection seems more likely for now, but the result of Zoë in  Prague will of course have an impact on the final decision about the selection format.
 There is absolutely no reason to withdraw, the Austrians love Northvision and more and more artists show interest in representing our nation. We would probably have enough possibilities to fill 5 more editions of YCFA, but since the usage of YCFA was mostly followed by an average or bad result in the past, it depends on Zoë, if this format gets used next edition once again or not. It doesn't make sense to use a format which doesn't deliver a pleasing result, so I can't reveal any sure decision yet. If Zoë qualifies again, the chances for the 5th YCFA edition (and therefore the 3rd in a row) are pretty high though.

 BULGARIAN PARTICIPATION UNSURE!
Today, BNT and the Bulgarian delegation met in Sofia to discuss plans for the 22nd edition of North Vision Song Contest.
After the meeting concluded, the result was that Bulgarian participation in North Vision Song Contest #22 was looking unlikely and there is now a chance that Bulgaria will be withdrawing from the next edition of the contest, confirmed by the HoD:
"A participation in the 22nd edition is not looking good at the moment. As you know, we have had financial difficulties that have accumulated over the last few months due to preparations for those editions of the contest. Added to that a swap in management, I thus think it is highly doubtful that anymore information would be revealed until after the final results of the current edition.."
After a fan asked if there was still some chance of Bulgaria being present in the next edition, the HoD replied that:
"Of course exceptions can be made. If DARA qualifies and obtains a satisfactory result, I will manage Bulgaria once more, and thus participation could be possible even with a small budget.."
While there is a change in management coming, the fate of Bulgarian participation in #22 will be decided at the end of #21. The HoD assured fans that they would get news once more information was available.

 Will Kazakhstan return to NVSC?
Astana, Kazakhstan: The NVSC offices in the NTK Headquarter are filled again.
The new delegation arrived and they are ready to discuss future participations.
The new Head of Nothing, Daniela Simbič stated "I happy that I am here, this office is nice."
The new Head of Delegations, Aliya ESC and Kevin Fechner, introduced their plans for the kazakh participation:
"I must say the previous HoD did a nice job and we´ll not change much. We´ll try to cooperate with more broadcasters from Europe (and Africa). More details will follow soon."
Some hours later, the NBU received the official confirmation.

None. You need to sign up for the waiting list. I already signed in the waiting list. Then you should know that you just can't claim a country because 1. nothing is free and 2. all players who are on the list before you will have to get a country till it's your turn |
