 After placing 11th in the Semi Final,  HRT is delighted to officially confirm that Croatia will compete in NVSC 22 in Bulgaria. HRT will also reveal that a national selection will most likely take place in order to find the Croatian entry.

  RITA DAKOTA FOR BELARUS!
As promised, the belarusian act for Bulgaria would be revealed on February 7th.

You can see that it is the Dakota-states of the USA 
BTRC can now announce that the singer that will represent Belarus at the upcoming
Northvision Song Contest is, Rita Dakota!
She says in a interview with BTRC that she is very excited to take part,
and that it has been a dream for her in a very  long long time.
 Rita Dakota was born in Minsk, Belarus 9th March 1990. She is 26 years old today. She grew up in a poor part of the city. In the childhood she played "boy-ish" games with the boys in a shipyard. Dakota has always dreamt of making music, and at 7 years old she attended a music school. She took piano-lessons, studied singing, and joined the schoolchoir. As a young girl she appeared on international and national festivals and competitions. She wrote her first original song at the age of 11 called "Shape of My Heart", which she performed at her prom with a classmate. After highschool, Rita attented to another music school where she met vocal coach Gulnara Robertovna who she made many demos with. Dakota is also very facinated by graffiti and learned to draw. Then some graffiti-artists from Portugal visited Minsk and saw a drawing of Rita and described it as "dakotat". She loved the word so much she used it as her pseudonym.
In 2007 her friends begged her to audition for "Star Factory 7". This is where she got her breakthrough. She wouldnt have done it if it wasnt for her friends she says. She also met Vlad Sokolovsky through the show, the man she marred 3 June in 2015. In 2011 she founded the rockband "Monroe", which she toured with and held sold-out-shows. In 2015 Dakota participated in the Russian TV-setup "Главная сцена" where the famous Victor Drobysh was her mentor. She sang pop and poprock and made it all the way to the semi-final of the show.
She will now soon stand on the Northvision Stage. But what song will she sing?

 Heidrik confirms withdrawal for the Faroe IslandsEarlier this year, KVF confirmed that Heidrik would participate for the
Faroe Islands in the upcoming North Vision Song Contest.
Heidrik now withdrew his participation for yet unknown reasons.
The broadcaster is now searching for a replacement act
to be the official representant of the country at the contest. |
