How even? It's like if I say that San Marino can borrow from Austria, Monaco can borrow from Belgium and Liechtenstein can borrow from Poland. Andorra has nothing to do with Portugal. I understand why this is a problem. @theflyingshrek , you should know about this. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_Andorra#Ethnic_groupswww.indexmundi.com/andorra/demographics_profile.htmlwww.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/geos/an.htmlAt least 14% of Andorra's population is Portuguese (more than French). Portuguese is listed as one of the dominant ethnic minorities in Andorra. Is the internet lying to me? Of course San Marino can't borrow from Austria. There's no significant Austrian population in San Marino. Same with Monaco's lack of Belgians and Liechtenstein's insignificant Polish presence. EDIT: This situation only applies to micronations because their musical presence lags behind all the bigger countries (obviously), especially in a monthly contest such as NNMC. I try to be lenient with which nations a micronation can borrow from. However, because I'm so lenient, I'm not the one who will approve the entries. If Andorra wants to borrow from Portugal, they would need to ask for approval from the player of Portugal, which right now is Francisco . My leniency is balanced out with the restriction by the player of the country being borrowed from.If ~Rethnas~ , Francisco , and Tufkai unanimously agree that Andorra shouldn't borrow from Portugal, I'll restrict the borrowing to just neighboring countries. EDIT 2: I try to make NowNewMusic an inclusive contest because there's so much new music out there that deserves to be shared. But like I said, restrictions are there, too so that this contest doesn't get too crazy. Then, imagine the case of Singapore. Singapore is a ministate with a 73% population being Chinese. Does it mean that Singapore would be able to borrow from China despite having a lot of own music?

They already have a significant music industry. I should have worded the justification for the micronation rule better. It's a no for that that specific situation.
Theoretically, if Singapore wants to borrow from China (which is doubtful), they would need the permission of the Chinese player (in which we do have one), so the limitations are still there.EDIT: This information is false.

No, no, wait. Let Belgium be the flop judge of that. Rules say only micronations with a population of 100,000 or less can borrow. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Singapore should have a population of at least 5,000,000-6,000,000. Hence, Singapore shouldn't be considering borrowing in the first place.

I'm glad someone here reads the rules! I forgot about that. Thanks! Singapore definitely can't borrow at all.

I had to read the rules about 8-10 times from start to end when trying to send a barely-legitimate entry. ("Argh"!, "We Are Belgium" and "2016" were all technically legit, however "2016" wouldn't be accepted after the introduction of the humans-only rule) Plus, it's my duty as the host of this milestone edition to keep the contest from illegal flops.

Actually, come to think about it, "We Are Belgium" is definitely not a legitimate entry. It's pretty obvious why, since vocals of a few dozens of people are featured in the song xDDD
