Chanson Pour L'Instant #05
Following an unremarkable 18th place last edition, the
French delegation is definitely interested in upping their game.
This edition will have a record 8 songs, with 2 semi-finals (because in the delegation's opinion, choosing between eight songs without a recap is kind of a big ask)
Each semi will last one day, and each jury will be allowed to vote for up to two songs, with the two songs with the highest number of votes advancing to the final.
In the event of a tie for second place, a backup French jury will internally select who advances.
With that, here are the 4 songs of the first semi -
(Each song will play at its assumed recap time)
Song #1 -
Frero Delavega will be splitting up next April, and believes a participation in this contest would be the perfect conclusion
Song #2 -
Even after being scared away by a fake gun made out of liquorice, 
Kendji Girac mustered up the courage to come back. And it was worth the wait...
Song #3 -
After being disqualified back in CPL #2, Kids United are back with a cover of Sinsemilia (I think I spelled it wrong) which has peaked at #2 in the French charts
Song #4 -
And the final participant of this semi is a singer with a discography slightly too large for her to compete for
or 
without our approval (which won't be the case for this edition 
)
