Welcome to Chanson Pour L'Instant!!!

For the fourteenth edition, the French delegation will be holding the 7th edition of 'Chanson Pour L'Instant'. That's right. We have been doing these selections for half of our lifespan in this contest.

So...things are a bit more light-hearted here in France because WE FINALLY MADE THE FINAL FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THREE EDITIONS. Sure, we may have only finished 21st, but we did manage to come second in the semis, beating eventual winner

(how dare you intrude of the perfect balance of the pitriarchy). We did not have to once again suffer the humiliation of being beaten out by

(tho they should have made the final last time tbh)

So, here are this edition's entries. This edition received 29 songs (excluding rap entries) - interest wasn't as high as last time. I guess people stopped caring after we made the final

Song #01 -

TAL - Des Fleurs et Des Fammes
Since this song came relatively close to participating last time, the delegation has decided to give it a second chance. It could also function as a measuring stick between the strength of this selection and the last one.

Song #02 -

Claudio Capeo - Riche
Next up is French singer of Italian origin, Claudio Capeo (real name Claudio Ruccolo). He previously participated in 'The Voice' but was eliminated during battles. In France, the show is known as 'The Most Beautiful Voice', and it's a mystery why he didn't win because his voice compliments this cute ballad excellently.

Song #03 -

Isaac Delusion - Isabella
This song made it to the final internal round last edition, but was eliminated in 6th place, barely missing out on a spot in CPL 06, but it managed to get to the final this time.

Jabberwocky feat.

Elisa Jo - Late Nights
Tbh, would it be a French NS without an imported singer with a French DJ? Well, this edition we have two of them. ~~It's a step up from 3 Israelis~~. In this song, we have a singer from the Netherlands called Elisa Jo who, according to her official website 'oozes spontaneity'.

Busy P feat.

Mayer Hawthorne - Genie
Lastly, we have former Daft Punk manager, Busy P, with a song featuring vocals from American singer, Mayer Hawthorne, who has 3 songs on the R&B top 10 to his name. Will these feats help them in this selection?
