CONFIRMATION DEADLINE
Saturday 27 May, 2359CET
All countries must confirm their participation or state their withdrawal by the end of this Saturday
otherwise they will receive a strike and will not be allowed to participate this edition.
Some other things that the council wants to highlight:
• Over the past month, the council has been really busy with exams, school and work. Some members
are still in a position where they may be unable to approve entries, others may have just come back
from their period of inactivity to find scores of approval PMs. If your entry or NS has not yet been
fully approved, please be patient. We will reach you soon!
• Since people have asked this recently and we just want to clarify this: you only need 4/7 yeses
for your entry or NS to be approved. The whole council is not needed for approving your song(s).
• The song deadline is provisionally set for June 10, although this is not confirmed yet. However,
we would really appreciate if you haven't already sent any songs in for approval that you do so
as soon as possible, as this prevents any last-minute chaos on the day of the deadline.

Prunia will participate in the eighth edition of the Fantasia Contest to be held in neighbouring country  Beklium. On May 15th, Prunia TV internally sent an entry for approval to the FBA council. The prunian entry has been approved in the process and is ready to be revealed not later than now. Prunia will be represented by the band Against the Current. ATC is already known by FC fans. The band previously tried to represent two other countries in Fantasia. They ended fifth with their song "Forget Me Now" in a selection held by  Cercasia. They also tried their luck later in  Equaland with their songs "Young & Relentless" and "Wasteland".
Against the Current is a  Prunian-based group but they can be considered as an international group, since lead singer Chrissy Costanza, who comes from the south of Prunia, studied during some years in neighbouring country Cercasia ; and guitarist Dan Gow is a native of Equaland ; while drummer Will Ferri has different roots in his family. Against the Current will sing "Talk". Atlandia joins in! Atlandian Radio Television (ART) has held a press conference today,
in which they have confirmed presence of the Commonwealth in
the next edition of Fantasia Contest.
As usually, it was not yet revealed if the broadcaster is going to
select internally or the national selection event will take place.
It is expected that more information will be revealed soon.

PECUNIA WILL COMPETE IN FC #8!
NEP has officially confirmed that Pecunia will compete in the
eighth edition of the Fantasia Contest!
Talks are currently underway regarding the possible selection options for the
nation, with rumours arising regarding a potential nation final. However,
funding figures for the forthcoming competition are currently unknown.
Further details are expected to be released in the coming days. |
