STIKO PER LARSSON WINS P4 NÄSTA!
Earlier today, the final of P4 Nästa took place, where eight county's with eight different artists battled to be crowned the next P4 Nästa winner.
After around two hours of show, Stiko Per Larsson has won this years P4 Nästa competition with his song "Kumpaner (Vi är som)"!
In addition, one of the eight finalists was offered a place for the upcoming Melodifestivalen 2018.
With the motive of "A big dose of charm, and a stable presence both on stage and as an artist",
the spot was also given to the P4 Nästa 2017 winner, Stiko Per Larsson!
Stiko will of course sing another song at Melodifestivalen 2018, so "Kumpaner (Vi är som)" will not be eligible to compete,
but for now, why not take a look at his winning entry.

Thomas Sekelius, the singer and writer of this years Stockholm Pride song,
and who almost made it to MF 2017 with "Awakening", has told his interest of sending a song to MF 2018.
His song "Awakening" was ditched this year due toe SVT feeling that "he has little experience with music, releasing no songs before, and never appeared on any shows".
He was replaced by Charlotte Perrelli's "Mitt liv", which got a 7th, and last, place in her semi final.

As the MF rumour mill is about to happen in the next couple of days (weeks, idk), I decided to post some possible / non-possible participants of the next years edition: Possible: iNTIM: A girl duo which became viral famous thanks to their "16 swedish hits in 6 minutes" video, which reached up to 16 million views up 'till today. They've made a video where the title, literally, says that they've sent a song for the upcoming melfest. Thomas Sekelius: As mentioned above, Thomas sent a song for this years edition, but was declined due to "having little to none experience with live performances". As he's appeared more often now, including the making of this years Pride Song, "One More in the Crowd", we can highly expect to see Sekelius succeed in entering MF 2018. Non-possible: First Aid Kit: They've mentioned that they've been invited, together with a song that has the similarities of "Emmylou" & "The Lion's Roar". As lovely of a idea that they thought it was, they declined the offer, due that they feel that "melodifestivalen isn't the right form for them". --------------Obviously, this wasn't as many artists as you might have thought, but then again, no real rumour mill has started, so all we have to do is wait until we get the names up on Aftonbladet  |
