 TIME TO REVEAL THE CROATIAN ENTRYIn a televised show, aired on HTV1 and HR1, which were hosted by Zlatko Turkalj Turki, Uršula Tolj and the Croatian HOD Pamela Gabanić, the Croats have finally found out who will represent them in Armenia. It will be... SEVERINA Born in Split, but currently living between two cities - Zagreb and Belgrade (  ), Severina is one of the most familiar faces to the fans of International Music Festival. She is the one who brought one of two biggest Croatian achievements in IMF - the victory in IMF21. - Ugh, this will be my sixth time in IMF. Last time I was dissapointed with my result, so I didn't want to apply until I was sure. Now I've found a song to be proud of and I hope you will like it also. Oh, and I can't wait to go to Armenia - said Severina to our hosts. Also, she talked about her upcoming album, which will be divided in two parts, with first coming this summer. - It's a combo with many personal songs and some club bangers - added Severina, commonly known as the Queen of the Croatian music scene. Her entry for  IMF39 is called "Mrtav bez mene". (Timeslot: 2:37+) - This is a hard song, but I couldn't resist it. The music was composed by excellent Damir Handanović, and Marina Tucaković asked me "What kind of text do you want?". I said: "Very mad about love and raw." And she made it, off course. One of the lyrics is "Ne zanosi se, ove suze su zle i nisu dokaz boli, to te moja mržnja voli" (Do not get carried away, these tears are evil and are not evidence of pain, that my hatred loves you). who would resist it? - said Severina about her song. More news surrounding  Turkish participation
TRT has again confirmed that they will participate in the 39th edition in  Armenia.
Despite the disappointing results recently, the contest is still popular in the country. The HoD stated that:
The contest is too good to give up on. Although we have had bad results recently, I don't see that as a reason to withdraw.
The selection will be made internally. However TRT has already confirmed that the song will be in English and has hinted at trying a different style of music from what they have already sent in the past. |
