   Ivy Quainoo • House On Fire ( )
I know many people are disappointed with this but I honestly don't get it, this is exactly the type of music Ivy usually sings. I really like this, it reminds me a bit of  "Sound of Silence" and we know that Ivy can sing so I can see this coming across as really great live. All in all I'm pleased with this and I hope she wins, however, I don't think we would do too well with it, but we would probably get our best placement in years imo.

I wasn't a big fan of the original version of the song and found it quite boring but the NS version is really really great imo, the orchestra turned it from a boring ballad to a really dramatic song that could be a movie soundtrack. I don't have much to say other than I really enjoy it and if he pulls out great vocals this could end up high.

okay so, prior to this day I was really not pleased with them taking part in the NS because I feared they could win (since LaBrassBanda came close in 2013) and I didn't like the thought of a band that basically represents German clichés taking part at Eurovision for us. However, I mog di so is actually really catchy and I can see myself listen to it in my free time because it's kinda a bop. I don't know how it would work at Eurovision, I can see it both doing well and flopping very hard. Overall I wouldn't mind this winning our NS though.
04. Michael Schulte • You Let Me Walk Alone ( )
well, I know this is already pretty hyped in the german fanbase but I don't really get it. Yes it's emotional and it's a nice song but it's nothing we've never seen before and nothing outstanding anyway. In fact, I find the emotionality a bit too forced and corny and I can't genuinely get into the song. However, as I said, it's a good song and Michael can sing so this could do good with the juries and maybe get more than 10 points in the tele.
05.  Natia Todua • My Own Way ( )
ugh this just screams "Perfect Life" all over again. Natia is a great singer but it was obvious she'd have a basic song since she got a song of the songwriting camp. This is kinda catchy and I don't dislike it but it is just really basic and sounds like the revamp "Perfect Life" should've gotten last year. At ESC I don't see this escaping the bottom 5 and I guess it will flop in the NS as well.
06.  Xavier Darcy • Jonah ( )
I can't tell why but I find this song really annoying. It's honestly a mess and I don't see it going anywhere at ESC unless it somehow sounds a lot better live. I'm pretty confident he won't win but Germany always likes acts like him so you never know.
My overall prediction is that Michael wins, with Ivy and voXXclub completing the Top 3. Ryk has a chance of replacing either of them imo, if he pulls it of live but I don't see him winning. Natia and Xavier will probably be the bottom 2 unless the juries shock me but I don't see either of them high in the televote

I'm very happy that we have decent songs in our National Selection. If the right song wins we can definitely stay away from the last place, however the German public sometimes likes songs that don't go well on international stages.
