I like it and the message behind the song, but I feel like it lacks something, maybe a revamp would help it or maybe it just needs to grow on me

Sorry, but I can't support a recycled song from 2015. This should've been my DQed.

for them. And so far the best prequalified entry. Btw. I like that keeps sending strong and weak entries in turns. xDD

This song seems extremely debatable to me. 1) We have the problem of the recycling of a previous song. The rules of Sanremo are very awkward. If the parts of re-used lyrics (even in chorus) doesn't exceed 33% of the entire song, your song is considered as "original". WTF. I don't know if the organisation committee of Eurovision is going to accept this. 2) Songs in competition at Eurovision are supposed to be apolitical. This notion is not very precise, and we can agree that a song about peace in general (like Polina Gagarina's entry) can still be considered as "apolitical" - even if it's debatable, because this song was released after the Russian army illegally occupied Crimea. But with this song, Ermal Meta is just "scorewhoring", trying to use the emotion generated by the terrorist attacks in Europe - we can also notice that none of them concerned Italy - in order to get votes. I feel very uncomfortable with that. 3) If we don't take in consideration the meaning of the song but only the music and the voices, there is hardly nothing in this entry. The voices are weak and the melody is easily forgettable (I listened to the song for the second and last time of my life just before writing this message and I already forgot it). But Eurovision is a song contest so this is quite annoying... I watched the end of the show yesterday night. I didn't want to see again Annalisa finishing outside the top 3 like in 2015 (she had the worst place, the 4th) or in 2016 (she finished only 11th with the song I consider as her absolute masterpiece and my personal winner of ESC 2016) so I waited until I knew if she was in the top 3 or not. I had a bad feeling when I saw that the other artists in competition were Lo Stato Sociale (the kind of "troll entry" that won last year) and Ermal Meta (who received the warmest reaction during the first evening when it was announced that his song was in the "blue section" (the songs that received the more votes during the show). To me, Nina Zilli, Noemi or The Kolors should have finished much higher than 17th, 14th and 9th. So Nali was the only of my four favourites who went through the big bloodbath. It was already a satisfaction to see her in the top 3 (and also for her, as she nearly sobbed on stage - we can see that Sanremo is extremely important to her, not like some artists who just come here as "tourists") but I really really really really really didn't want any of the other entries to win. At least Francesca (one of my favourites) went to Eurovision in 2016 - even if I knew that quality of her song might be altered by the "resizing" (it was 40 seconds too long) and indeed, the most interesting vocal part disappeared and was replaced by a void English spoken part. Conclusion: if this song is not disqualified (and there would still be hope for Annalisa, because the second of the contest is not automatically the replacer for Eurovision), I certainly won't support it. Edit: I also saw in the rules of ESC that the Italian entry should have been disqualified as well last year because... no living animals are supposed to be on stage.

"Non mi avete fatto niente" is that kind of song which basically centers itself on a message. The two singers manage to handle it pretty nicely live, making it a bit personal, in order to connect with the audience. The song is very direct, as the video showcases that's the song's all about. It might bring a little bit of controversy among some eurofans, however it says the cruel truth through the message, whether you like it or not.
My point of view regarding this song? Whoever knows me the best knows about my amazing relationship with Italian music industry or Italy throughout the 2010's since their return in Eurovision. They try to bring the classic and evolve it, but it usually ends up with a major sour taste, as I only really loved 2 out of their 7 (now 8) they've sent to date. Quite disappointing, but I mostly appreciated their approach to making the classic fit into the 20th century. Back to the song, probably what I love the most about this is the message, and that's not a major surprise. As I mentioned previously, I'm not too fond of Italy in Eurovision but "Non mi avete fatto niente" tells the cruel truth about what happens in this world. Despite being controversial in its own way, I love the courage of these two and the emotion they conveyed in order to deliver it to the audience. As minus, I feel like the chorus and the verses sound pretty different, like 2 separate entities, trying to be mashed into one song. And let's say that joyful kind-of instrumental in the chorus is kinda putting me off.
Conclusion: It could've been way worse for Italy in my top, but I feel like this song will get some kind of revamp to make it more appropriate for Eurovision standards. But I'm thankful they won, I hated the other songs which completed the top 3 in Sanremo. I'm genuinely curious of their evolution in the contest, and I'm curious to see how they'll deliver it in Lisbon.

I feel very uncomfortable with that. What is wrong with you for considering "A Million Voices" as a political song because of when it was released ? Also, how is Ermal "scorewhoring", just because none of the "recent" terrorist attacks have happened in Italy, it doesn't give them the right to write a song ? They do whatever they want to, even if you're not happy for it. Also you may have not noticed but the general meaning of the song isn't only based on these events, but on war in general, with a message of hope in the end. And since you seems to understand the Italian language unlike me, I get the meaning of that song. If Ermal is scorewhoring indeed, then Madame Monsieur are also scorewhoring with Mercy, Christabelle is also scorewhoring with the real meaning of Taboo (which talk about mental illnesses), also Loreen is a scorewhore with Statements, and a plenty of other singers are then scorewhores. By their song, they are just trying to spread the message, not to try scorewhoring. Stop being the kind of ESC Fan that bash the winning song because your fav did not win.
