 French National Broadcaster (France 2) and their Eurovision Song Contest 2018 selection process!
"Mission Eurovision" will be the first National Selection process to pick the right singer and song that will represent the country in  Lisbon since 2007! The broadcaster, in collaboration with Endemol, a Dutch-based media company that produced and distributed multiplatform entertainment content, are most probably going to create "Mission Eurovision", a selection process of multiple rounds. The last time France had a National Final was in 2014, when France 3 broadcasted the show "Les chansons d'abord", in which 3 internally selected artists and songs competed leading to the victory, as well as the representation of the country by Twin Twin with the song " Moustache". |

This is not confirmed by France 2. These are just at the stage of rumors by most of the sources i've read yet ( Wiwibloggs, Eurovoix or Toutelatélé (FR)) According to infegreece.gr, this has been confirmed. so you'd rather trust some random websites than the ESC Websites or even the French one i've linked ? |

Most of these "random" websites, as you'd like to call them, are usually fast enough to provide us with right information and have sources which are reliable enough so I don't see a reason not to trust them and keep on waiting for official statements which might actually come after a really long time. Moreover, I doubt all these websites would actually reveal this National Selection and its format with so many details even, if they didn't know anything about it or if it were just some random saying by some random person.  |

From one of the directors of France 2, in an interview the 13th May: Translation: Fans are a lot claiming for the reintroduction of a national selection. Is it feasible? We've been thinking about that for a long time. We've had more or less successful experiments. Right now, we're working in a pragmatic way: we need to be sure to find the right artist, powerful enough to face an event of that dimension. Link of the whole interview: here |

No "big" Eurovision websites nor someone from France 2 confirmed there would be a National Selection. Trust the small websites if you want, but right now, nothing is planned for the French entry for 2018. |

I personally never said I read this on any of the 2 websites from which you took those screenshots lol In any case, it's pointless to even discuss. After all, I felt like sharing something I've read.
