Welcome to the tenth edition of Chanson Pour L'Instant. That's right! The beloved French NS of NowNewMusic Contest has reached the big 1-0!!! To celebrate...we haven't really done anything. We're too worried that changing the formula with eff things up.
Submissions are at an all time high, with 128 different entries being entered this month. This included songs in Arabic and Hindi!

The majority of the entrants were picked off in the three internal rounds, leaving five finalists.

Song #01 -

Soprano - Coeurdonnier

First up we have Comorian-French singer and rapper Soprano. He previously finished as runner-up in CPL #04 alongside Marina Kaye, and came very close to making the NS with "Roule" in CPL #08. Now that he has made it this far, it would mean everything if he could make it all the way.

Song #02 -

Stony and

Shenseea - Pon U Roff

Next up we have quite a duo - Stony, currently living in mainland France, alongside Shenseea, from Jamaica. According to her Twitter profile, Stony is a 'Caribbean singer' and it took us a while to figure out what part she was from. Eventually we came across her 'Berlin Kizzes' biography, which revealed that she was in fact born in Guadeloupe. If we are not mistaken, this makes her the first person from a French territory to make it to the final of the selection. Can she be the first person from a territory to make it all the way?

Song #03 -

TAL - D.A.O.W (Dance All Over the World)

Does TAL need an introduction? She is back in the final of the selection for the fourth time, and has nicely recovered from getting beaten by unknown artists twice. And she really hopes it doesn't happen a third time...

BB Brunes - Eclair Eclair

And our fourth song is from French rock band BB Brunes. One of their members is half West Indian, but we're not sure which part. Chances are it's Guadeloupe which is why we put up the flag with an asterisk.

Song #05 -

Lea Castel - Amazone

Our last finalist is none other than Lea Castel, who you ~~may~~ will remember from when she made it to 6th place in Northvision #20. Can she top that position and get France their first top 5 in 8 editions?
